participating students.

Students who scored between the 21st & 45th
percentile on Iowa Assessment
357 students scheduled for 2nd semester

Eight to ten students per class

comprehension and fluency instruction

My favorite thing about teaching Success

Building is that I can build relationships with a
small group of students to help improve their
reading skills, engage them in books that fit their
interest and reading level, encourage them to
push themselves and communicate that their
success matters.

Fidelity to the Program

Follow prepared lesson plans

As a teacher there is
no greater joy than
igniting the love of

No other single thing

I like teaching Success Building because of the relationship I build

with each and every student in the class. I know their interests,
struggles, strengths, likes and dislikes. By having this individual
relationship with the student, I can better help them improve their
reading skills and work toward their individualized goals.

The Success Building

class makes me feel
smart when I get
higher scores on the
MAP test. I can read
out loud a lot faster
now. I am more fluent
and my comprehension
is better when I read.
