for their needs. Provide style advice and suggestions, tidy the floor, put out merchandise, clean
the store when needed. Interact with different kinds of people with different needs, make sure
that they get the best experience possible.

Assisted in caring for and maintaining horses and the barn facility, including and not limited to
feeding, grooming, saddling, washing, riding, and mucking stalls. Instructed campers in proper
riding procedures, taught all levels of riders, encouraged and helped growth in camper riding
skills. I was asked to return during the summer of 2016.

EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE
AGS Ambassador Austin High

AGS Ambassadors are a new program just enacted this year in Austin High School. Ambassadors
go with the teachers to middle schools to recruit students for the AGS program and to let the
students know about the program as a whole. They also participate in school events such as
Maroon and White Night, and are put onto committees with teachers to help improve and enact
new programs and events within the AGS community.

Link Crew Class is an opportunity for Link Leaders to heighten their skills in leadership,
communication and organization while taking initiative to find ways to improve Austin High,
mentor 9th graders and give support to new students. They will be trained in facilitating and
motivating groups of 9th graders to improve their grades and attendance, and get involved in
organizations. This is a student led class where students create possibility and learn life-long
skills
Girls Scout Leadership Academy - Camp Texlake, Spicewood TX

Participated in a program designed specifically for Camp Aides to develop well-rounded
leadership skills with campers, including how to teach horseback riding, crafts, outdoor skills,
songs. group management strategies, games, recap and evaluate what was encountered during
groups.

Learned conflict resolution, how to better understand campers and how they react, learned teambuilding exercises and games.
Academy for Global Studies - Austin High School
2013 - 2016
The Academy for Global Studies is an educational experience that fosters international
understanding and welcomes diversity of thought, while preparing students for a globally
interconnected world. Trip to Costa Rica-experienced a new culture and learned about the
economic and environmental blights of the country from students at E.A.R.T.H University and a
native tribe called the BriBri that we stayed with for a night. Trip to DC learned more about local
and national homelessness and how it can be prevented. Presented to a volunteer organization
about agricultural sustainability.
Interscholastic Equestrian Team Century Mills Stables, Bolton MA
2012-2013
Rode on a team of girls, improved horsemanship and showmanship, earned points to move on in
further competitions, trained at least once a week. Learned how to ride unfamiliar horses in
unfamiliar situations.
