Classroom Behavior:
1. You are expected to be prepared for class. You should have your math binder, you
planner, you pencil, and assignments ready by the bell.
2. We want everyone to be treated with respect. Treat others as you would want to be
treated. We want everyone to feel comfortable in the classroom environment.
Anyone who displays disrespectful or unethical treatment will be disciplined.
Continuous disrespect will be sent to the office for further discipline.
Homework Policy:
1. Homework is a key point in mathematics. Therefore, you must complete all assigned
homework.
Homework that is checked must be out on your desk ready for me to check by the
bell
Homework to be turned in must be put in the basket by the time the bell rings
2. Late homework:
If you were absent, refer to the Absence Policy
If you did not turn in an assignment, you can turn it in the next day. You must
attach an Oops Slip to it. If your parent signs it, you can turn it in for 70%
credit. With no signature, it is worth 50%.
After two days, your homework can be turned in to be checked but you will
receive no credit.
3. Homework must have your name at the top of every assignment. Assignments without
names on them cannot be graded.
Absence Policy:
1. Students who are absent will only be able to make up work if they have an excused
absence.
2. If you know you are going to be absent, it is up to you to get the assignment ahead of
time (i.e. field trip, vacation, sport/club activity, etc.). You are responsible for completing
the assignment. You will be given one day extra to make up the assignment if you know
you will be absent.
3. Students will get two days to make up work for each day their absent was excused and
you didnt know ahead of time you would be absent (i.e. illness, family emergency, etc.)
For example, if you are absent two days, you get four days to make up the work.
If your absence extends over a week, please see me and we will decide the best
way to make up your work.

4. Whenever you come back from your absence, please go to the absence partner folder. It
will have a slip with what you missed, what homework was passed out, and notes that are
needed.
Absence partners will be assigned the first week of class.
5. If you miss an exam or quiz, and have an excused absence:
It must be made up within 3 days.
You can meet before or after school, or during a study hall.
It must be completed in one sitting.

Grading Policy:
1. Grading is aligned with the schools grading scale.
2. Plan ahead and ask questions about due dates/assigned dates.
3. Absences are have no excuse for not turning in assignments. Refer to the Absence Policy
for when you must turn in assignments
Technology:

Technology outside of what is provided in the class room is prohibited unless otherwise
stated. This includes cell phones, mp3s, tablets, etc.
We will be using technology provided by our school. Treat it with respect as if it was
your own device.
