Introduction
Classroom management is the key component in education setting. An
organizing, creative, and safe classroom environment has positive effects on
childrens learning. The key to having a successful classroom is to build a
foundation for respect and caring. Not only students but also a teacher need
to respect each other to maintain a warm and respectful learning
environment.

My classroom management plan is going to be used in a second grade


class. There are six major components in my classroom management plan,
such as classroom policies, quality teacher, quality student, teacher
behavior, student behavior, and rule consequences. I am going to post them
in my classroom. These components play very essential role in my teaching
and managing.

Classroom Policies

1. Respect each other.


2. Respect personal and school property.
3. Respect the activities and play areas of others.
4. Arrive on time and stay in assigned areas.
5. Follow directions.
6. Try hard. Do your best.
7. Complete classroom and homework assignments.
8. Use only assigned restrooms and use them only for their
intended purposes.
9. Leave the playground only with permission.

On entering the cafeteria, place playground

equipment in assigned place, sit at assigned tables, talk


quietly and clean up the tables before you leave. Remain
seated until dismissed then go directly to the playground.

During the classroom the teacher


have to:
1. Share rules up front.
2. Respect each student.
3. Create a positive environment.
4. Differentiating instruction.
5. Encourage participation.
6. Clearly address learning target.
7. Be patient.
8. Care about students feeling.

During the classroom


students have to:
1. Respect opinions.
2. Be honest.
3. Pay attention to the class.
4. Listen and follow directions.
5. Stay on task.

6. Raise your hand before speaking or leaving your


seat.
7. Keep your hands and feet to yourself.
8. Show up on time.

During a test students


have to:
1. Try hard and do your best.
2. Stay on task.
3. Be honest.
4. Work alone.
5. No cheating.

During the cafeteria


students have to:
1. Line up quietly and quickly.
2. Enter the cafeteria in an orderly manner.
3. Eat using appropriate manners. Throwing food,
popping bags, making loud noises, grabbing
other childrens food off their plates, etc. will not
be allowed.
4. Sit at assigned places or table.
5. Talk quietly.
6. Clean up before you leave.

3rd consequence: send to the office

Introductory Letter to Parents


Dear Parents and Guardians,
Hello and welcome to second grade!
My name is Keyi Liu, and I am looking forward to getting to know you and your child
and working together to help your child succeed! I am writing this introductory letter to
give you a brief overview of our class. I am originally from China and I am so excited to
teach in Macon for the next few years. I earned my Bachelors Degree in Early
Childhood Education at Wesleyan College, Macon, Georgia. This is my first time

teaching second grade. I look forward to a year filled with unlimited learning experiences
and fun times. I will be teaching your child reading, writing, language, spelling, social
studies, math and science. I also would like to share Asian cultures with your child to
make connection to the world. I will make the classes more interesting as well as
challenging, so that each child understands as well as enjoys them.
If you could please take a moment and write me a letter about your child that would be
helpful since making your child feel comfortable in our classroom is a major part of his
or her success as a student as well as mine as a teacher. If your child has medical needs,
please let me know. I thank you in advance for taking the time to write to me. If you have
