Serial- In Parallel- Out (SIPO)

Conversion of a stream of data elements received in time sequence, i.e., one at a

time, into a data stream consisting of multiple data elements transmitted
simultaneously.

SIPO Controller

LED

7 Segment

PARTS:
RESET LED

Used for the resetting of the LED Lights (Parallel Out)

SERIAL INPUT

To determine the value to be displayed at the Parallel Out (1,0)

RESET 7-SEGMENT

Used for the Resetting of the 7- Segment

TOGGLE SWITCH 3

The Toggle Switch that will be used for the SIPO, it will serves as the Flip-Flops.
Effect of each is to shift the data contents of each stage one place to the right.

LED (Light Emitting Diode)

The Parallel- Out of the Circuit, this is the display of the desired output. Having
the uppermost LED as the least significant and the lowermost as the most
significant.

7- SEGMENT

This is the decoder of the circuit that is up to 5 bit only. This will count the pulses
received in the circuit.

OPERATION:
1. The Serial In will be the one to input the value to be displayed in the Parallel- Out
or the LED diodes with (1,0)
2. As the Serial give the desired value, the Toggle Switch will be the Flip Flops
giving clock pulses and signal for the whole circuit.
3. The 7-segment will display how much pulses was done, but it is up to 5 only.
4. As the input came serially, the output will be seen in multiple LEDs, having the
Uppermost LED as the least significant, and the Lowermost as the most
significant.
