AMUN TIMES
NO RETREAT. NO SURRENDER.

5 things well miss the most

SEE YOU NEXT YEAR!

*See you again in the background* The time has come,
delegates, wizards and members. The time to part ways, the
time to wander back to those mundane schedules, the time to
step away from the debates and arguments. A bit too dramatic
Global Press always is.
2 days of happiness, accomplishments, disappointments (for
some) and hard work finally come to an end. The journey has
been memorable for both-the participants as well as the EB. The
last day saw well executed emergencies in full swing in all the
committees, the highly anticipated Points of Entertainment and
culminated with the Closing Ceremony.
Wait to be thrilled again in next years MUN, which will be
bigger and better.
Signing off,
Saumya Kalia

NEEND KE MAARE, YEH BICHARE!

After days of running around, our Secretary General and Deputy Secretary
General could not help but take a nap on the Auditorium couch, with their
placards sitting conveniently on their stomachs. Coincidence, I suppose! May
they achieve all the dreams they deserve!

GENERAL ASSEMBLY
The committee began with the regular procedure, and
continued with debates on the first agenda. Thus, the tale of
GSL began, with questions and speeches. Soon enough, the
committee was hit with an emergency which could not have
been more dramatic. The Parliament in France had been
bombed, and the terrorists demanded uranium reserves. If the
committee did not concede with their demands, a person
would be shot in every 5 mins. France was required to make a
lot of statements. The crisis went on for 3 hours, with the committee finally reaching a conclusion.
What followed was the highlight of both the days, the Point of Entertainment! EB sang, delegates
mimicked their EB members and smiles on everybodys face summed up their experience!

MINISTRY OF MAGIC
The popular committee began the session straight with the
emergency for the day: a Black Mark was witnessed by 20,000
muggles over the Winter Olympics stadium. Since Voldemort
had been killed years ago, rogue death eaters were the
suspects. The situation was efficiently managed by the wizards
with the Weasley brothers sending up fireworks to shroud the
mark as a prank, disruption in the Muggle media system and
sending Aurors to guard Azkaban and Hogwarts. Once the
issue was sorted, the committee transformed into a true
wizarding world. The committee witnessed a dueling match
between the Minister of Magic and the Head Auror, with no
clear winner.

HINDUSTAN PARTITION ASSEMBLY

The committee began with the procedures of a moderated
caucus on Hindu-Muslim riots, and was then rushed towards an
emergency. The second version of Khilafat Movement was raised
but this time chose to associate with the Muslims, demanding the
upward region of Delhi-Calcutta area. To add twist to the tale,
Mahatma Gandhi had been assassinated, but was then unassassinated. France had also provided support to Hindustan
against Khilafat Movement. In the end, the partition did not take
place, and some part of Hindustan is now a part of France! This
was followed by a fun Point of Entertainment involving dances
and songs!

FIFA
The second day of this committee can be described in one simple word-mega hit. Rather than
continuing with the General Speakers List,
unmoderated caucus was established with the
resolution being passed on 2022 World Cup and
Corruption in FIFA. This was succeeded by an
emergency where Qatar witnessed a bomb blast by
the Islamic State. Between this tragedy, delegates of
Brazil and UAE had their own set of troubles. The
delegate of Brazil had strong belief in the fact that the
delegate of UAE was mentally retarded and was
irritating him! The delegate of Spain acted an eye
witness to this, and a series of comical statements followed. The Point of Entertainment witnessed
the delegates acting as their Executive Board, and it couldnt be more hilarious!

AD-HOC CRISIS: RAW

Pakistan was again the talk of the town. The Sec Gen is seen quoting People tum logo se apna
desh to bach nahi raha, Pakistan mein kyu ghus rahe ho? The Continuous Crisis Committee
declared emergency about attack on a school in
Peshawar. The GSL continued in the first half of the session,
with a somewhat reduced participation from the
delegates. Tables turned when the emergency was
introduced, and the delegates were asked to decipher a
code, a very complex one that too. All efforts began in
cracking this code, and their persistent attempts gave fruit
to the most interesting puzzle. The committee concluded
with them finally saving a national emergency and the
Presidents assassination. The Dy. Sec Gen played guitar
and sang during the Point of Entertainment, and a picture was essential to mark the memories!
