WWIwasdifferentthananyotherwarforacoupleofreasons.Thefirstreasonitwas
thefirstworldwarandtherehadnotbeenthatmanycountriesinvolved.Thesecondreason
beingthattherewasnewweaponrysuchasmachinegunsandheavyartillery.Germanywent
asfarastoeventryexperientialflamethrowers.Thethirdreasonwasthatitwasaverylong
warandlifewasterribleforthesoldiersofit.Theyatebythedead,theysleptbythedead,
theytalkedbythedeadandfoughtbythedead.Thewarhadtobefoughtverystrategically.
Theyhadtodothisbecausetheynowhadplanesandblimpstosurveythelandaroundthemso
theenemycouldnotsneakuponthealliesaseasily.Thatmeantthatitbecamealongrange
groundwar.Becauseitwasagroundwartrenchesweredugtohelpaidincover.Whenthe
warcametoanendtherewasatreatythatwasformed.
ThetreatyofVersailleswasnotfair.Itwasnotfairbecauseitblamedeverythingonthe
GermansandGermanywasnotevenallowedintotheleagueofnationstoseethetreaty,also
theyhadalltheirdecisionsmadeforthem.Germanywasnotcompletelytoblametheallies
hadtheirshareofthekillingandthedestruction.Germanywouldhaveitsarmyreducedanda
restrictiononwhatweaponstheycouldproduce.ThetreatystrippedGermanyofallits
coloniesgreatlyaffectingitseconomy.
FortheUnitedStatesthewarwascertainlyunavoidable.BecauseoftheZimmerman
notefromgermanyandthefactthatiftheydidnthelpFranceandGreatBritaintheywould
certainlylosethewar.ThesinkingoftheLusitaniawasahugefactorinthewar.Becausethere
wereamericansontheshipsoitbecameanactofwaragainstGermany.TheUnitedStates
wasalliedwithGreatBritainandFranceifitcametowarandwell...itdiditmeantthatthey
neededtohelpinanywaythattheycould.SotheUnitedStatesjumpedintohelpthewar
