currentlytakinganupperlevelDrawingcourse.Thelessonrequiresstudentstodocumenttheir
drawingsoverthecourseofthesemester,thenusethoseimagestocreateanonlineportfolioof
theirworkthatwillincludewrittenreflections.Studentwilluseadocumentcamerato
photographtheirdrawings.Theywillcreatetheironlineportfoliosat

DrawingDigitalPortfolioGuidelines&Rubric

Adigitalportfoliowillbeusedtoassessandtodetermineyourcreativity,experimentationwith
subjectmatterandmedia,andwrittenanalysisskills.Forthisportfolio,youwillneedtotakeGOOD
photosofyourfinisheddrawingsusingadocumentcamera.Takeseveralshotsofeachtoensurethatyou
getagoodshot.Also,trynottoincludeobjectsinthebackgroundthatmaydistracttheviewerfromthe
drawing.Thesephotoswillbecombinedwithyourwrittenreflectionstocreateanonlineportfolioof
yourworkfromthesemester.
CreatingyourportfolioonDigication.com:
1.) YouwillneedtocreateanaccountandlogintotheDigicationwebsite.Youwillbesentan
invitationbyemailtocreateanaccountonthissite.Onceyoureceivetheinvitation,openitand
clickonthelinkwithintheemailtogetstarted.ThelinkwilltakeyoutoDigicationwhereyou
willbepromptedtocreateanaccount.
2.) Onceyouhavecreatedanaccountandareloggedin,clickonthecreateaneportfoliobutton.
ThiswilltakeyoutoPortfolioSettings.Enteratitleforyourportfolio(i.e.:Thatchers
Portfolio).EnteraURL(Thisshouldbeyourfirstandlastname,i.e.:triciathatcher).Thenenter
youremailaddress.Onceyouhavecompletedthepreviousinformation,scrolldowntoChoose
aTemplateanddoubleclicktoopenthetemplates.CheckthetemplatecalledSample
Portfolio,thenclickSubmitatthebottomofthepage.
3.) Youwillthenbetakentoyourportfoliotemplate.Youshouldseeyourtitleatthetoprightand
yourURLinthewebaddressbaratthetop.Thereshouldbenavigationunderyourtitlethat
readsBioMyWorkMyGoalsResumeContact.Youarerequiredtocompletepagesfor
eachEXCEPTtheResumepage.
4.) ThemajorityoftheworkneedstobedoneunderMyWork.Thisiswhereyouwillupload
yourphotosandtypeyourreflections.
5.) AfterclickingonMyWork,youneedtoeditthenavigationalongthelefthandside.Clickon
Wanttomakechanges?inthetoprightandselectChangetopandsidemenus.Tworedbars
willappear,oneabovethetopnavigationandoneabovethesidenavigation.Youshouldonly
editthesidenavigation.First,clickoneditandchangeWorkSamplestothetitleofyourfirst
drawing.Then,clickonNewandtypeinthetitleofyourseconddrawing.Continuethis
processuntilyouhaveallofthedrawingslistedthatyouwillincludeinyourportfolio.You
shouldhaveaminimumofsixforanaveragegrade.
6.) Onceyouhaveeditedyournavigation,clickDoneeditingnavigationinthetopright.Next,
pulldownWanttomakechanges?andselectChangecontent.Afterselectingthis,youcan
nowuploadaphotoofyourfirstsculptureandtypeyourreflectionbelowthephoto.Iwould
suggesttypingyourreflectionsinWord,thencopyandpastethemunderEditText.
7.) Completetheseinstructionsforeachofthesculpturesinyourportfolio.
8.) Followthestepsabovetoedit/changethepagecontentandnavigationfortheotherpartsofyour
portfolio.

9.) MyBioshouldincludeaphotoofyoualongwithafewsentencesthatprovidesometypeof
informationaboutyou.
10.)MyGoalsshouldincludetextonlyandshouldprovideafewsentencesdescribingyourgoalsin
generaldealingwithpersonallife,school/college,careerpath,etc.
11.)Asstatedpreviously,youarenotrequiredtocompletetheresumesection,butyoucanifyou
wanttoandyouhavearesumereadilyavailable.
12.)Finally,completeContactbytypingacoupleofsentences,addingyouremailaddress,then
