There

is currently research being conducted on transgenesis.

Transgenesis is the process of adding a gene to an individuals
genome during development. It would be unethical, but through the
process of transgenesis, the X-Men could be real. We could have
super humans. Experiments up to this point in cognitive psychology
only revolve around adding the florescence gene into the genome of
cats and rats voila- glow in the dark cats and rats.
