PhysicalGrowth

Despite the experience of the other texts, this one seems more likely to be
interesting when reading it.This text looks more proximal to the childrens life,
development and experiences. The first impression, only by reading the first page
andthetitlewasaverygoodone.

Adolescence has been passed by all of us, so of course weunderstand andknow

whatthe textis referringtowhenitcomparesteenagerswithourmostrebelliousand
wildestprimitiveancestor.However,neverjudgeabookbyitscover.

Thefirst pages aremore adescriptionofthephysicalchangesahumanexperiences

across the years, explaining some differences between boys and girls such as the
amount ofyearsthattheyspentgrowingormoreaccurately,maturing.Asthispartis
really descriptive, reading it is not that interesting, moreover, the steps which a

tediousformetoreadthedescriptivepart.

The most interesting partcomeswhen the text istalkingabouthow sexdifferences

are increased by the society and its expectations. It is not a secret that boys are
expected to develop an interestand skills relatedtosportsbiggerthantheonesthat
girls can develop, increasing the physical differences by developing boys physical
abilities and not girls. This decresed the girls performance at sports, andthismust
bechanged.Anyonecandoanything.

Although what others say orthink should notaffectus, it does. A teenageroreven

an adult is insecure and is not personally built yet, therefore, when instead of
constructive critics apersonisunderdestructivecritics,itincreasestheeagernessof
the teen to dropout the activity she or he is doing. But,whenaparent or a person
with authority emphasizes effort, improvement, participation, the teen finds her or
himself motivated and eager to improve her or his skills. It is another study that
proves how important it is moral support and motivation, and that will not be
takenintoaccountbythosepeoplewhoshould.

Physical differences are found everywhere, and when the text is referring to the
physical growth differences around the world, I thought it would make more
referencestothefactorsofinequalitiesthatcurrentlyhappeneverytimesuchashow
affects to growth the lack of food, water and other nutrients deeply. When it talks
about changes in physical growth among generations it talks a littleaboutnutrition
and its access improvement but as I said, not treated deeply. However, it is

Asithas been said before,do not judge a book byitscover, becausewhatIthought

thatwould be a text more proximal to children, itbecameatheoricapproachtothe
kids physical development and other organ s. Despite its efforts of applying the
theoretical knowledge in the previous paragraph of each part to the current social
situation,itbecomesahardtexttoreadanyway.

It could be said that the interesting parts of the text are the latest parts of each
apartat, together with the articles that are indifferent colors. Also, the parts when it
explains why teenagers are reckless, that is because he brain is developing the
concerning part during teenage years, helps to understand them and to avoid the
dangerous practices such as drugs, that as the text said, it depends on other
external agents whether the teenager end up being a highlevel dangerous or a
lowerone.

This articleis interesting, but it hastoo much theoryand it isexplained from apoint
