Submit your proposals in the form of a blueprint and build a model of your design.
The city of Tampa structural engineering department is requesting proposals for a
new solution to help citizens travel across the Tampa Bay.
Engineers will develop a sturdy bridge that will hold the weight of citizens traveling
across it and that will withstand different weather conditions.
Item Specifications:
*Each engineering team must adhere to the following
specifications(requirements):
1. Teams must build their bridge using only one of the following
materials:
- 25 mini popsicle sticks
- 50 pieces of uncooked spaghetti
- 25 pieces of uncooked lasagna
- A box of toothpicks
2. Teams may use Elmers glue or marshmallows to bond the bridge.
3. Teams may use up to 2 textbooks.
4. Teams structures must withstand the mass of 20 grams of toy cars.
5. Teams structures must withstand the mass of 20 grams of water.
