Served as the liaison between patients and multiple providers by being extremely accurate with the
information relayed between the two parties. Registered patients and determined their level of need, then
advocated for them to receive necessary resources to reach optimum health. As a patient advocate,
assisted patients in applying for prescription assistance programs. Provided interpretation for Spanish
speaking patients as we are in a culturally diverse demographic location. Managed the appointment desk,
which was comprised of the scheduling of 10 or more Health Care Providers. Also managed and kept up to
date credentialing for all Health Care Providers. Additionally operated the telephone switchboard and
distinguished emergent calls from ones that did not require immediate attention. Provided training of new
staff and assisted providers with a wide array of procedures.

Lead ophthalmic technician for a private practice retina specialist. Assisted and prepped patients for sterile
ophthalmic procedures and performed many diagnostic tests. Assisted the larger team by taking the
initiative to help with patient intakes. Managed the providers surgery schedule and served as an advocate
for the patient while working with their insurance companies. Ensured all equipment was properly sterilized
and all satellite offices were stocked appropriately.

Performed vital signs on both adults and newborns, performed newborn blood screening tests, and assisted
post partum women with ambulation and newborn/self care. Ensured their stay was delightful and went
above and beyond to ensure their needs were being met. Also served as a Spanish interpreter for patients
