I checked several researches before setting up the technology plan for my school.
The main goal of plan we have created is to give constant internet and technology
access to all students and staffs to gain 21st century technology skills and make
learning meaningful for all students by integrating variety technological tools.

Based on the technology plan I have reviewed, technology has a clear influence on
students perception. The plan indicated that technology opens many paths for
students at different academic levels to see real life connection as they study a
particular subject.
Describe the connection between the research and the plans goals.
They have many goals in common. One of common goal is to provide training for
teachers about new technologies throughout the year by providing professional
development opportunities for teachers. Our plan is more local comparing the
research plan.
Describe information gathered from site visits, including best practices.
The admin team and Cluster IT visited one of the best school district in the city
and received presentation from host school about their technology plan. They
presented their feedback to staff and stakeholders during different meetings. LEA
will ask community to make donation twice a year to have some support to renew
technological tools they have.
All middle and high school students has year-long or quarter long projects which has
technology component. Middle school students do one project in their core classes in
each semester. They are required to prepare digital presentation of their findings.
High school students choose a year-long project from their math or science classes
which is multidisciplinary project. It requires students to create a website and put
together all component of their project on their website through the year.
Describe goals and an implementation plan, with annual activities, for using
technology to improve teaching and learning. Describe how these goals align to
the LEA's curricular goals that are supported by other plans. Describe how the
LEA's budget (LCAP) supports these goals, and whether future funding
proposals or partnerships may be needed for successful implementation.
1. What funding sources, including federal, state, or local programs are
available to support the plan?
The school district has a four year federal funds to use to support the technology plan
and will apply to renew it after four years. School admin team will present their plan
to state to get funds for their technology plan to make sure the students have
appropriate technological skills. There are some national and local business
companies which support schools about technology. School will take their technology
plan to business companies to get funding.
2. Are targets for improvement in student achievement being met?
Yes, It is going to be met. Students need to improve their mathematics and literature
foundation to be college ready. By using different software in their classes through
the school life, they will have a solid foundation in these particular subjects.

Internet Safety and the appropriate and ethical use of technology in the
classroom.
1. What LEA board policies will be or have been developed to implement
Internet safety instruction?
School district will have certain internet safety software to be installed to all
laptops, computers and electronic devices.
Servers will be replaced with new ones every 5 years to protect school internet
security.
2. How and when will teachers and students learn about implications of legal
and illegal file sharing?
Teachers will have training from professionals before school starts and at the
beginning of second semester. There will also be online training for all teachers once
a year.
Students will learn about it during the first assembly at the beginning of each
semester from a guest speaker. It will be also part of computer class curriculum to
give students information about internet safety, legal and illegal file sharing.
The plan must include an evaluation process that enables the school to monitor
progress toward the specific goals and make mid-course corrections in response
to new developments and opportunities as they arise.

Describe the process for evaluating the plan's overall progress and impact on
teaching and learning.
1. Who will oversee the data collection, analysis, and program modification
process?
District superintendent, principal, district academic director will oversee modification
process.
2. What indicators of success will be used (e.g., number of students successfully
meeting grade-level standards and advancing to the next grade, reduced
dropout rate, increased attendance)?
There will be several success indicators, but mainly state test, number of students
meeting grade-level standards will be main indicators.
Describe the schedule for evaluating the effect of plan implementation, including
a description of the process and frequency of communicating evaluation results
to tech plan stakeholders.
1. How often will data be collected and summarized? Who is
responsible?
Data will be collected at the end of each quarter and summarized. District data
analyses director and dean of academic will be responsible.
