coordinates the efforts of

accomplish
defined goals and objectives
using available resources
efficiently and effectively.

the 19th century, Henri Fayol,


the father of modern management
broke management down into five
distinct functions:
a.) Planning
b.) Organizing
c.) Coordinating
d.) Commanding
e.) Controlling

PLANNING
- is a systematic process
where by an individual or
organization takes action to
make the best decision and
select
the
best
option
among the alternatives in
order to achieve the desired
goals.

- serves as the stepping stone for
you to accomplish your Long-term
goal.
- it takes a day, weeks, months, and
even a year.

Objectives
are

the specific steps you need to


take in order to reach each of
your goals. They specify what you
must do.
Mostly your goals, strategies and
objectives are anchored in your
mission statement.

- Involves the systematic
determination and
scheduling of the
immediate or short term
activities required in
achieving the goals of
strategic planning.
