Reflection Paper 2
My service learning project involved me interviewing individuals on their perspective on
nuclear weapons. Not too many people are aware of it or know nothing about the dangers of it. It
could literally wipe out mankind and destroy many lands. When I ask someone what are nuclear
weapons, they could make an easy visualization about it. Nuclear weapons could be missiles,
bombs, nukes, and any other thing that could make a big explosion.
Some challenges I faced was that not many people did not agree with me that nuclear
weapons should be reduced however; countries should keep nuclear weapons to make them safe.
Weapons of such destruction should be reduced because of the loss of innocent lives. In World
War 1 the United States dropped an atomic bomb on Japan killing over 200,000 people and most
of the people were innocent.
The skills I developed while doing my Graduation Project was my knowledge. I had
many useful ideas to help me on my speech and on my research. The concept about nuclear
weapons supported me in one of my classes. I was learning about atomic bombs and I realized
that I already had the knowledge because an atomic bomb is a nuclear weapon. I know enough
about nuclear weapons that I know it should be reduced or not even exist.
