Narrative:

Beat 815R responded to an OEMG call of a holding

an offender who was breaking info #rollers at 4100 S.
Kildare. Beat 8158 arrived on scene and spoke to
'the complainant ~rvho pointed to the offendef who had
fled on float. Beat 8158 pursued the offender in their
marked.vehicle to 4000 S. Karlov, at which time the
offender who was acting irrational and was armed
with a knife, punctured their front passenger tire, and
then struck the windshield with his knife: Beafi 81 ~R
requested a taser and additional units to respond and
assisf with the apprehension of the aff~nder. Beat
845:8 responded to 4'!12 S. Pulaski and observed
the offender still armed with a knife walking in traffic.
Beat 845R exited their vehicle and ordered the
offender to drop his knife. The offender refused ail
verbal commands and cantinu~d to approach the
officers while still armed with his knife. Beat 845R
fearing for his life discharged his weapon. The
offender sustained numerous gun shot wounds ar~d
was transported to Mt. Sinai Nospita~ where he was
subseauently taronounced at 2242 Hours,
