Outline
This will be a short fictional music video, being made to go along
with the song Boatman by Connla. Natasha and Christopher will be
co-directing for this project, with Natasha directing the bedroom &
beach scenes and Christopher directing the Boatman and cutaway
scenes. The video will outline a dreamscape, with our actress Stacy
Fitzpatrick being the one dreaming, we will be using shots of Stacy
walking along the beach and through water. Shots of Ciaran
(Boatman) rowing out to sea and an empty boat will be used
throughout the video, we will also be using various cutaway shots.

Audio Elements
The audio elements that will be used throughout this music video
will be the song Boatman by Connla. We will be using a live version
of the song for this video, we will either use the song recorded
during their performance at Culturlan or the song recorded during
their acoustic session at Tracys Bar.
Rationale
The reason for making this music video is for a promotional purpose.
This music video will co-inside with the release of Connlas album
launch and will be used to promote their new album and the band
themselves. This video will be used by the band on their social
media sites and their own website.
Primary and Secondary Research
Before filming the music video we will look at various other
Traditional bands and their music videos, such as: Socks in the
Frying Pan, by looking at these videos it will give us a chance to
generate new ideas for our video. We will also discuss ideas with the
band and get ideas from them as to what they want the video to
look like. We can use Connlas own website to gather any
information we may need on the band.
