    introvertedandsufferfromsocialanxiety.IwasborninFayetteville,North
    Carolina.IthenmovedtoSouthCarolinabackin2005forpersonalreasons.
    Myexperiencethroughoutmyfouryearsofhighschoolwasabigchangein
    mylifebecauseIbecamealittlemoreopenaboutmyself,madenewfriends,
    learnednewsubjects,gainednewinterests,andimprovedmyschool
    performance.Duringmyfreshmenyear,Ibecamemorepreparedtowards
    whatwastocome,unlikemiddleschoolwhereIwascomparablyvery
    unorganized.Ifeelbothnervousandexcitedaboutgraduation,becauseIdont
    knowwhatobstaclesmaycomemywayinthefuture.
    Ibecamemotivatedtodomytopiconevolutionduetomyinterestoflearning
    aboutotherreligions,science,politics,andphilosophy.Learningmoreabout
    thetopichelpedpushedmetowardsgatheringmoreinformationabouta
    subjectIthoughtIhadaverygoodunderstandingon.Itmayevenhelpme
    practicedoingresearchondifferentviewpoints,debates,andbeliefsystemsin
    thefuture.
    Whengettingstartedwithdoingresearchonevolution,Ihadtoreadseveral
    articlesexplainingwhatthetheorywasabout,whatthehistoryoftheconflict
    surroundingitwas,andhowpeopleofmultipledifferentreligionsfeltaboutit.
    Ithoughtitwouldbeeasytodoatfirst,butitturnsouttobemuchharderthan
    Ihadexpected.WhenIfinallygottoworkingonmyservicelearning
    narrative,Istruggledalot.ThiswasbecauseIwasrushingtofindwhatI
    coulddoforcommunitywork.Ihadtodosomeworkandfindawayforitto
    relateittoevolution.IendedupdoingvoluntaryworkattheShepherdofthe

    Seachurch.ItendedupwellbecauseIgainedsomeexperiencehelpingout
    otherpeople.Workingontheprojectasawholebroughtagreatchallengeto
    finishupthissemesterofmysenioryear.
    Iwouldliketothankyoufortakingthetimetolistenaboutmyexperienceon
    thetopicofevolution,andlookingthroughmyportfolio.Itwasahardbutfun
    experience.Onceagain,thankyouverymuchforparticipatinginmySenior
    Exploration.
