Summary

While reading through this chapter I learned that today, in the 21st century, teachers are to
know how to use specific apps and software to enhance the education of students. Such apps and
software include clip art which many students and teachers use today. Other softwares that
teachers must know how to use are classroom management software and as well as spreadsheets
but there are much more available to teachers. Because of the type of software that teachers have
the availability to, they are able to teach in a more productive from and makes the teaching much
more easily and faster. The need for technology in the classroom comes from NETS standards
and must be met to the need for a much more successful learning process to students.

Reflection
I agree with this chapter on the fact that teachers should know how to use the technology
that the 21st century has to offer now a days. Teachers should know the basics on how to use this
technology and how to use the different types of software because it can greatly contribute to
their teachings in the classroom. Not only will the teachers benefit from this but as well as the
students, as they will be able to better comprehend the material. Every school should have the
availability to technology so their students can do better in school and the teachers can be able to
teach the students more efficiently.
