I will be going over the basic needs that plants and

how they use food for energy.

I will be using the internet, having the students use


Movie Making/Video Production software.

Materials

Procedure

1. Being the first day by teaching the students


different plants and animals, and how each
require air. Show them different animals and
plants how they need air to survive.
2. After they learn how they require air, review by
calling on a student and having them give you
an example of what they learned today.
3. After reviewing with them, gather the students
into groups of four. Begin showing them how
they are creating a video of different examples

Assign each student in each group a role of who
will research facts, gather pictures, create a
story for the video, and who will be the tech
person, putting all of the information together.
4. On the second day teach the students how
different plants and animals require water. Show
them different plants and animals, how they
need water.
5. After they learn how they require water, review
with them. Call on students in class, have them
give you an example of what they learned so
far.
6. Gather students into their groups, have them
continue working on their video project.
Continuing their research but now have them
add in how plants and animals require water in
their everyday life.
7. Finally, teach the students how plants and
animals require food. Show them different
plants and animals, how they need food for
energy.
8. After learning about food, review with them. Call
on each student, having them give you an
example.
9. Gather students into their groups, have them
show you their video, what they have so far. If
they are struggling help them by giving them
some examples of what they could use in their
video.
10.
After having each group show you what
they have so far, have the students add in their
video how plants and animals require food to
survive.
Assessment

Calling on the students during the lesson, have


them give you an example of how plants and
