Final Reflection
Project 1: Initial Extended Inquiry
Can you specifically show me how this assignment has
enhanced your use of technology to create and write in
multiple genres?
Before this assignment I could only write in a very scientific fact based
way. Through this class I learned to lighten up my language and make
my writing more enjoyable to read and not just fact based information
thrown on a page. It really helped me improve as a writer.

How about your research skills and avoiding plagiarism?

Citations!! I think it is crucial that people know how to cite things.


Plagiarism is a big deal and I am really glad that I got to improve my
skills be learning how to use annotated bibliographys to my
advantage.

How about your critical thinking skills?

I like to think that I think critically as it is. Having an engineering mind


makes me always think critically. Im sure that over the course of this
class I had to utilize my skillset to come up with a conclusion.

What about reflecting on your writing and choices you


made?

I made strategic choices for the writing in ways that I didnt even think
I would. I made a decision to write in a manner to utilize my strengths
of fact based writing, and then I also learned how to elaborate so that
my writings could be better understood.
Project 2: Annotated Bibliography
How did this project enhance your research skills
I really like annotated bibliographies now. I think they help the writer
grasp much more of what the author is saying than if they just
skimmed it and added a lot of quotes. It helped my research skills
because you need to find the right type of source, I think it would be
virtually impossible to write a annotated bib on a bad source, or a
unrepeatable source.
Project 3: (Multi-modal project)

The class in general: What do you think you should get


(as a grade)? How do you think the class went? Did you
learn anything? How was your house group?

My house group was outstanding. We all worked really well together


and learned from each other. We pushed each other to do better with
positive reinforcement and encouragement. I think the class went
great. We balanced reading, writing, and course material really well.

Professor I did a spectacular job of letting our creativity flow, which


was really challenging at times. I think I deserve an A or a B in this
class because I kept my best foot forward and did all the work. I would
definitely say I went above and beyond for this class.

reviewed, revised, designed, integrated, demonstrated . . .
a. Which of the individual claims you make in the
projects are strongest/weakest?
My strongest claim I make in the project is communication. I think I did
a great job of informing anyone, whether it be my classmates or my
future readers of my paper, that the information I have provided is
solid and should be listened too. I think it stands on its own and is not
dependent on other things. My weakest point would be design. I
didnt really show pictures or make intricate designs. My Weebly is
very basic in design, but I chose that because I wanted the work to
present itself.
b. Is there a piece that was more important for you and
why?
My rough draft was the most important. The information that I learned
didnt come from me; instead it came from my peers. They gave me a

lot of good feedback, which I then used to make my paper the


masterpiece that it is right now.
c. Is there a piece that was more difficult for you and
why?
Finding my topic was the most difficult. I really struggled with what I
was going to turn my paper into. I am really happy with my choice of
survival guide and I think it turned out better than I could have
imagined.
d. Reflect on the processes that you went through with
each major piece.
Each major piece took a lot of thinking. I didnt just want to think
about the next step, but for the whole project. Eventually the
decisions became easier because I laid a good foundation for myself.

Your own participation and effort in the class


a. Much of this class rests on the assumption that you
are self-motivated to participate, read, ask
questions, help your classmates, can (and willing) to
navigate Moodle and do what you need to do in
order to succeed in the class. Although I have my
own view of who participates and who doesn't, I
would like your input here about yourself.

I like to think I gave my input often. In class I wouldnt speak out a lot,
but when I did I think it was just good information. I think that I helped

my group mates more. We were al in a group message together and


we all asked and answered questions. I also made sure to comment on
other peoples ideas that we uploaded to Moodle because I think any
type of feedback is very useful.
b. You registered for the class did you do all you
could to succeed?
I tried my best, and that is all I have to offer. I am really proud of how
much work I put into this class and I learned a lot. I will definitely use a
lot of the tools and tricks that I learned in this class. Most of all I
learned to REFLECT ON MY WORK!
