20082013 Animals Abused & Abandoned, Inc.

This is Oogy. Oogy w as tied up and

was used as bait for a Pit Bull.
Oogys ear was completely r ipped off,
his lower jaw w as crushed, and the
police found him left in a dumpster
half dead. Oogy w as taken to the
nearest hospital and w as in surgery
for more than 7 hours. Amazingly, he
survived and had a great recovery and
was put up for adoption. T wo y oung
boys named Noah & Dan adopted
Oogy. T hey explain how at first he
seemed very afraid of people but as
time w ent by he became such a loving
and protective dog and they see Oogy
as their little brother.

Animal Neglect is when a person fails to
provide basic care required for an animal to
thrive.

There are two types of signs that can show
animal n eglect is happening, physical and
environmental signs.
What are physical and environmental
signs?
Physical signs are a collar being so tight that
it is embedded to the animals n eck, extreme
thinness, etc.
Environmental signs are if an animal is tied
up alone outside for a long period of time
without water n or food and etc.
Who do we call if we see an animal
being neglected?
You should call the n earest Animal
Control/Shelter in the community as well as
the p olice.
