Standard 2- Reading for All Purposes

-Understand the meaning within different types of literature by properly analyzing literary
components.
Instructions:
Read your book project book and complete the Book Project Planning Page. Then, watch and listen to the
presentation about Digital Book Projects; also use the Blendspace tutorial as needed. Choose a new method to try,
and create a project about your book using the planning sheet and rubric to help guide you.
Choose from the following types of projects with accompanying tools:
1. A short movie or book trailer about your book (Animoto).
2. An advertisement or Infographic for your book (Piktochart)
3. A graphic or comic version of your book (Powtoon).
Projects should:
Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of your book and engage others.
Include and incorporate key literary components of your novel as they fit within your project including but
not limited to:
-Title and author
-Characters (main and supporting characters)
-Setting (both time and place)
-Brief plot summary (5 events including exposition, rising action, climax, falling action, and resolution.)
-Theme or authors purpose
*Be original and innovative. Try something new, and make it original, innovative, and engaging.
