Background Information
Root Cause: Unstable Third World
countries due to economic reasons,
violence, etc.
Problem: They cross the border hoping
to live a better life when theres too
much overcrowding

Ex: 2014 American Immigration Crisis

El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras
sent over many of their children to
the US, why? Parents wanted their
children safe from the growing
violence in those countries.

Like any immigrant from anywhere,

Latinos come from their home
countries in hopes of a better job and
life.

Its safer here then it is back in their

home countries

Impacts
Bad

Good
Save the US more on Social Security then
natural born citizens do since they do not
qualify for it

Pay taxes and brought in about $11.2

billion in state and local taxes in 2012

In 2011 some started their own

businesses employing 1 in 10 US workers

Send money earned to family in home

countries thus keeping them from
wanting to come to US

Cheap labor

Expands culture throughout the country

Not that many resources available if

both natural born and illegals are
fighting for them

Dont want to learn English

Take jobs away
US taxes spent due to increased
border control

An increase in crime.

Solutions

One solution that can help the Latino

immigration is to lower the amount
of deportation ,because Latinos
come to this country illegally to have
a better life, wasting various amount
of money to cross the border.

Another solution that can help is to

lower racial profiling against Latino
people. Just because we might look a
certain way doesnt mean we really
are what people imagine us.

Solutions to letting Latino

immigrants is to do a background
check on each Latino and see if they
will cause danger or damage to the
U.S. community.

Sending better jobs down to the

nations since that is one of the
reasons they come to the U.S. for.
