Possible Preconceptions/Misconceptions:
Some students may thoughts that plant is alive, so it needs food to still alive and not die.
They thoughts that food is the same what animal and human eat. Plants need food, but for plants it called
element which they absorb them from the soil.

ENGAGE: ( 7 min ) On the Floor
Opening Activity Access Prior Learning / Stimulate Interest / Generate Questions:
1- Pre lesson video:
Before the lesson time, a video song about planting will be played for attract them to this class and
make them excited about it.

2- Greeting & Reminding Rules
It is important to do it as routine, to save the lesson time, and kids learn by routine.
3- Video Song:
Play video song to get engage students to start the lesson. The song is (Head, shoulder, knees & toes
Body Parts), this video is good beginning for them to review the human body parts that will make them
to make connections between human and plants (mentally). And to facilitate to the teacher to talk
about plant and describe its parts. Its perfect also to activate them (physically) as its their last class of
the day.

4- Quick Discussion:
Quick discussion with whole class about the topic, ex:
Q: What am I? (A: Human, I am alive)
Q: Tell me another thing alive? Something green! (A: plant, trees)
Q: What makes a plant to grow? (A: soil, water or rain, sun)
Q: What do we need to grow a plant? (A: same thing)
EXPLORE: ( 15 min ) Lesson Description Materials Needed / Probing or Clarifying Questions:
1- Experiment: Growing Soybean: (On the table)
Teacher will work with one group and to grow a soybean in front of the kids in clear steps, one by one
with clearly voice, while the rest are listening and waiting their turn to have their chance to plant their
own seed.
2- Video: (On the Floor)
Will show the kids time-lapse of Bean Germination, I expect from kids that will so surprise and excited
to have an idea hoe their plants will grow throw the days, and will encourage them to take care of it.

EXPLAIN: ( 10 min )
Concepts Explained and Vocabulary Defined:
1- Presentation PPT: (On the Floor)
Compression between similarities of human (Me/You) and a Plant. It will be as a table shows the
growing stages foe both. The kid will make connections and realize that plants passes throw many
stages until it become a tree. The move them to the next slide which show them the plant with its parts.
2- Vocabulary:

ELABORATE: ( 15 min )
Applications and Extensions:
Students will be divided into 2 groups.
Group 1: High and Medium to high level with assistant (On the table). Group 2: Low and Medium level with
Me (On the Floor).
1- Flash Cards & Worksheet Activity:
Group 1: First will order the parts of the plants from the flash cards, then match its name to the part
picture in pairs. When they finish, they will have worksheets with drawn flower and vocabulary box,
kids will label each part and write them beside the part. For extra time: they can color the flower
picture by the colors on their table.
2- Poster Activity:
- Material needed: Poster, real leaves, 4 green stew, wool yarns, 3 cupcake paper, seeds, glue. The
poster is A5 size, already painted a background of soil sky with smiley sun.
- Group 2: Will sit on the carpet in a big circle and I will be sitting with them, the poster will be in the
middle of the circle, with the materials. The kids will pass a box contain their name in piece of paper
while singing (What in the box?), when they finish song the kid will choose one name to help him
to paste one part of the plant on the poster.
