students yester day,but students will reflect on it today ). Shape are ( triangle ,

Reminding the student with Ant story .

( On the carpet). Teacher used (could use ) this method That means , just
imagine that we have an ant in the corner (choose any ) of this page and this ant
walked all the way around the edge of the paper ,until she goes back to where she
started .(follow this path with your finger ) .

Using white boards : to count perimeter .

Q:
can you count how far the ant went?
Ok. let's see to this example .
(small example 5 +5+ 5+ 5 ) : count how far the ant moved around the
outside edges.
(Teacher could change the place value .

If there is any student finish in short time ( high ability students ) teacher will
ask students to measure different materials in the class to find out the
perimeter of different things around them . (students will work in small groups ,
in the class )
