British Lit Time Period Information

Instructions:

Literacy and learning decreased in the west after the end of

the Western Roman Empire.
Much learning was under the Roman Empire which was
mostly in Greek.

The Middle Ages was a huge time period. It consisted of a variety of events from war to literature changes. When it came to the most powerful
person, it was a hard choice. There were many people during this era that was significant in multiple things. Latin was the main language they used
throughout Europe because it was the most commonly used. The Anglo-Saxons were the largest ethnic group. They brought old English with them
and believed in Christianity.
