Heyman, Josiah. State Effects on Labor Exploitation: The INS and Undocumented Immigrants
at the Mexico- United States Border. Critique of Anthropology. 18, no. 2:157-180.
United States tends to be the ones who enforce labor control and exploitation. Mexicans who
cross the border come to work tends to avoid the law which does not help them in the work
environment they find, if they even find one. The findings where a constant pattern is shown of
immigration labor forcing them to work more than they should. Immigrates work and do what
they are supposed to do because they have no other choice because their job is going to bring
them a better life. This can be used because it shows how differently immigrates are treated
because they are undocumented.

The diversity in the school system is not noticeable. In the University of California it is noted
facility and students do not converse, they engage in the classroom but not in the community as
one. They want to be able to see a difference in the community and academic learning
environment. Students in UCLA claim they do not receive the same level of respect as others do
because of their race. This can be used because it shows who people are not accepting to us
because we are different causing a diversity problem.

The article talks about how immigration should not even be a topic to discuss. They explain the
differences between Mexicos and The United States police force and how they treat people.

Also the way some people ignore the migration of others to conduct citizenship to them. In the
United States diversity is linked to freedom gives people the opportunity to cross ethical
boundaries. Immigration is talked about how it can be a good thing and how immigrants are not
doing anything wrong.

Some places do not want to employee native workers but demand to only have immigrant
workers. We model in-migration, out-migration, and net migration for Hispanics born in the
United States and those who were not, white and black men controlling for demographic
composition, employment structure, change in employment structure, labor market indicators,
and macro contextual measures. Results show how positive relationships built with each other
educate low skilled migration not causing labor competition. This can be used because they
make it seem as if immigrants are too stupid or nave to know what they are doing to causing
them to not be a threat. In another point of view it is helpful because it does not cause them
problems such as getting deported.
