To whom it may concern,
I am writing today to express my interest in applying for your open elementary
teaching position. I am a certified, highly qualified educator who is passionate about
providing quality opportunities for my students to learn, develop, and gain skills
that will help them grow in their educational journey. I have dual minors in
Mathematics and Integrated Science and believe I will be a strong asset to your
Public Schools system.
I believe as a teacher, it is my job to stimulate and encourage thinking rather than
to provide answers and resolve problems. I believe that in education it is my
responsibility as a teacher to create a safe learning environment that welcomes
students every day to further their education. It is my duty to create an interactive
environment that engages the student in the learning process in and out of the
classroom. As part of my Education courses, I have worked in classrooms at the 1 st,
3rd, 4th, and 6th grade levels. I have tutoring experience, and have also assisted
teachers with social studies, reading and writing activities.
In addition to my course work, I have increased my understanding of childrens
needs and the different ways children learn, through teaching students about
mosquitos while employed at Saginaw County Mosquito control. Also while
employed there I have learned the importance of planning, and having patience
when working with students and parents.
