1.1.Theclubshallbeknownas:PharmacyPediatricInitiative(PPI).

Article2Purpose/MissionStatement
2.1ThepurposeofPharmacyPediatricInitiative(PPI)shallbeto:
A. Empowerpharmacystudentstoprovideoptimalcareandimprovethequalityoflife
forpediatricpatients.
B. Toraiseawarenessaboutissuesfacedbythepediatricpopulationandtheirfamilies.
C. Toeducatepharmacystudentsaboutthe
rolesofpharmacistsinpediatriccare.

Article3Membership

3.1.MembershipinthisclubshallbeopentoallUofTcommunitymembers(students,
staff,facultyandalumni).

3.2Memberscanregisterbysubmittingtheirfullnameandavalidemailaddress.There
willbenomembershipfee

3.3.Membershipinthisclubororganizationisopentoallmeetingtheabovecriteria,
irrespectiveofrace,creed,color,gender,class,age,nationoforigin,nationality,disability,
maritalstatus,religion,veteranstatus,orsexualorientation.

3.4.PharmacyPediatricInitiativewillremainanotforprofitorganizationgearedsolely
towardspromotingawarenessabouttheissuesfacedbythepediatricpopulationandto
educatepharmacystudentsabouttherolesofpharmacistsinpediatriccare.

Article4LeadershipTeamOrganization
4.1TheExecutiveTeamofthisclubororganizationshallbethe:CoPresidents,Vice
President,Secretary/FinanceDirector,
OutreachandCommunicationsDirectorsandEvents
Director.ThePresidentandVicePresidentpositionswillbeelected.

4.2DutiesofTheExecutiveTeamaredescribedbelow:

CoPresidentsDuties:
A. Bethespokespersonforthegroupandensurethevision/goalsofthisclubarebeing
met.
B. Chairmeetings
C. CollaboratewithothermembersoftheExecutiveCommitteetoplanandfacilitate
allofthegroupseventsandinitiatives.
D. Delegatetaskswhennecessaryandbeinvolvedinplanningandexecutingnewideas
totheclub
E. HoldsigningofficerauthorityalongwiththeTreasurerforfinancialpurposes

F. EnsuresmoothtransitiontofutureExecutives

VicePresidentsDuties
:
A. AssumedutiesofthePresidentinhis/herabsence
B. WorkalongsideCoPresidentstoensurethevisionandgoalsofthisclubarebeing
met
C. Ensurethatalltheactivitiesoftheclubmeetregulationsandpoliciesofthe
UniversityofToronto
D. Coordinateorganizationalrecruitmentefforts
E. CollaboratewithothermembersoftheExecutiveCommitteetoplanandfacilitate
allofthegroupseventsandinitiatives.

Secretary/FinanceDirectorsDuties
:
A. Maintainalistofallregisteredmembersandmaintainthewebsite
B. Notifyallmembersofmeetingsandrecordnotes/motionsduringmeetings
C. Recordallfinancialtransactionsofthegroup
D. HoldsigningofficerauthorityalongwiththePresidentforfinancialpurposes
E. Manage
financialdocuments(eg.Receipts,grantreports,reimbursementrequest
forms)andkeeptheminthePPIFinancesBinder
F. Prepareanannualbudgetforthegroupaswellasbudgetsforspecificevents

EventsDirectorsDuties
:
A. Planthelogisticsofeachevent
B. WorkwiththePPIteammemberstodeterminewhatisrequiredforeachevent
C. SendanyimportantmessagesoradvertisingorpromotionsviaFacebookandemail
(maintainRSVPifnecessary)
D. Createnecessarypresentationdecks

OutreachandCommunicationsDirectorsDuties
:
A. Communicatewithexternalstakeholdersinaprofessionalmannertobuildanetwork
forPPI
B. Handleofficialcorrespondenceoftheorganization
C. Communicatewithexternalorganizationswhofocusonpediatriccareinorderto
servethemanddevelopideasforvariousevents
D. Advocateourclubandthegoalsoftheclubtokeyinstitutions/organizationsinorder
toraiseawarenessanddevelopstrongrelationshipswiththecommunity

4.3TermlengthofeachpositionshallrunfromMay1sttoApril30thofthefollowingyear.

Article5Elections
5.1PPIwillnotorganizeelectionsinordertoappointitsMembers.

5.2ThecurrentCopresidentsandVicePresidentswilldeterminethefollowing
CoPresidentsandVicePresidentsuponcompletionoftheirtermanditwillbebasedon
meritandinvolvementinPPIactivities.

5.3ThecurrentCopresidentsandVicePresidentwillreviewapplicationssubmittedforthe
ExecutiveTeammemberspositionsandwillappointamemberbasedonmerit.

5.4TheFirst,Second,andThirdyearClassRepresentativesshallsubmitapplicationswhich
willbereviewedbytheexecutiveteam.TheRepresentativeswillthenbeappointedbythe
executiveteamwithavoteofconfidenceof2/3ofthemajority.

Article6Meetings
6.1Regularmeetingsofthisclubororganizationwithrespecttoexecutivesandclassreps
shallbeheldatleastonceamonth.

6.2TheCopresidentshavetheauthoritytocallameeting.Anyonewishingtocallameeting
mustmakearequesttothecopresidents.

6.3NotificationsofmeetingswillbesentthroughemailbytheSecretary/FinanceDirector,
nolaterthanfivebusinessdaysinadvanceofthemeeting.

6.4Quorumshallconsistofofvotingmembers.

Article7Finances
7.1.FiscalyearwillrunsfromMay1sttoApril30thofthefollowingyear.

7.2ReimbursementsandauthorizationsrequiresthesignatureoftheCopresidentsand
Secretary/DirectorofFinance.Originalreceiptsandarequestformmustbesubmitted.

7.3Sponsorshipfundswillneedtobeapprovedbytheexecutiveteamthroughavoteof
confidencedeterminedbytwothirds(2/3).

7.4Financialdocuments(eg.Receipts,grantreports,reimbursementrequestforms)areto
bekeptinthePPIFinancesBindertobemanagedbytheSecretary/DirectorofFinance.

Article8ConstitutionalAmendments
8.1Thisconstitutionmaybeamendedifofmembersinthecommitteeagreetothe
amendments.

8.2Theamendmentmaybepresentedtothepresident,whowilladdressitatthenext
councilmeeting.Thememberwhorequestedtheamendmentwillremainanonymousandthe
votewillbeconductedthroughaclosedballotinthefollowingmeeting.

8.3Amendmentswillbeeffectiveimmediatelyupontheirpassageifpossible,otherwise
theywillbeeffectiveinasuitabletimeframeforthechange.

8.4Amendmentchangediscussionscantakeplaceatanymeeting.
