A List of Things That All Mormons Should Know

For My Wonderful Wife and My Posterity, That You May Liberated

By

"Cherish your doubts, for doubt is the attendant of truth. Doubt is the key to the
door of knowledge; it is the servant of discovery. A belief which may not be questioned
binds us to error, for there is incompleteness and imperfection in every belief.
Doubt is the touchstone of truth; it is an acid which eats away the false. Let no one fear
for the truth, that doubt may consume it; for doubt is a testing of belief. The truth
stands boldly and unafraid; it is not shaken by the testing; For truth, if it be truth,
arises from each testing stronger, more secure.
Those that would silence doubt are full of fear; their houses are built on shifting sands.
But those who fear not doubt, and know its use; are founded on rock. They shall walk
in the light of growing knowledge; the work of their hands shall endure. Therefore let
us not fear doubt, but let us rejoice in its help: It is to the wise as a staff to the blind;
doubt is the attendant of truth."
Minister Robert Weston

If we have the truth, it cannot be harmed by investigation.

If we have not the truth, it ought to be harmed.
President J. Reuben Clark

Mormonism, as it is called, must stand or fall on the story of Joseph Smith. He was
either a Prophet of God, divinely called, properly appointed and commissioned or he
was one of the biggest frauds this world has ever seen. There is no middle ground. If
Joseph was a deceiver, who willfully attempted to mislead people, then he should be
exposed, his claims should be refuted, and his doctrines shown to be false...
President Joseph Fielding Smith

Investigation

1. Modern scholars and Egyptologists have proven the Book of Abraham is a

fraudulent interpretation of common funerary papyri.
2. The interpretation of the facsimiles in the Book Abraham has been proven to
be incorrect by modern scholars and Egyptologists. Joseph also
misinterprets females for males, and animals for humans.
3. Joseph Smith didnt even use the papyri when translating the Book of
Abraham; he used a rock in a hat. What was the purpose of having the papyri
if he didnt use them for translation?
https://www.lds.org/topics/translation-and-historicity-of-the-book-of-abra
ham?lang=eng
https://www.lds.org/topics/book-of-mormon-translation?lang=eng
4. Joseph declares two different personages on the facsimiles to be Godone of
the personages has an erection. Egyptologists confirm that this personage is
Min, the fertility god. (See facsimile 2 in the Book of Abraham)
5. Jeffrey R. Holland says he doesnt understand the vehicle for the advent of
Book of Abraham translation. He admits that there were blood oaths in the
temple. He admits there is a strengthening members committee, which spies
on the members. He says he would not cut a son out of family life who left
the church. (not a doubt, just important)

6. Why do scholars say the following:
these three facsimiles of Egyptian documents in the Pearl of Great Price depict
the most common objects in the Mortuary religion of Egypt. Joseph Smiths
interpretations of them as part of a unique revelation through Abraham, therefore,
very clearly demonstrates that he was totally unacquainted with the significance of
these documents and absolutely ignorant of the simplest facts of Egyptian writing
and civilization.
Dr. James H. Breasted, University of Chicago
It may be safely said that there is not one single word that is true in these
explanations
Dr. W.M. Flinders Petrie, London University

It is difficult to deal seriously with Joseph Smiths impudent fraudSmith has

turned the goddess [Isis in Facsimile #3] into a king and Osiris into Abraham.
Dr. A.H. Sayce, Oxford professor of Egyptology
I have about 11 more quotes from scholars on hand, but for the sake of length I will
leave them out.
7. The church publishes artwork of Joseph Smith using the gold plates to
translate when church history shows he never used the plates; he either
stuck his face in a hat and used a peep stone or used the Urim and Thummim.
Ancient prophets build plates, engraved them, protected them, passed them
down, buried them, returned to Joseph Smith as an angel to dig them up all
so Joseph could stick his face in a hat and look a stone and not even use the
plates.
8. What are 1769 King James Version edition errors doing in the Book of
Mormon? An ancient text. Errors which are unique to the 1769 edition
that Joseph Smith owned? (Including the orthographical error
seraphims in the original manuscript of the Book of Mormon--which is
now changed...)
9. Why are the KJV italicized words from the kings translators in the Book
of Mormon?
10.Why do the quoted verses of the KJV in the Book of Mormon not match
the JST of the bible?
11.The Book of Mormon is replete with anachronisms. Horses, cattle,
oxen, sheep, swine, goats, elephants, wheels, chariots, wheat, silk, steel,
and iron did not exist in pre-Columbian America during Book of
Mormon times.
12. W
hy have we not discovered millions of bones, swords, armor, roads
chariots, or other things from the violent wars of the Book of Mormon
that consisted of myriads of soldiers? This is tantamount to the
existence of a civilization the size of the Roman empire and we havent
discovered a shred of evidence from it. Elohim sure does a good job at
hiding any sort of proof whatsoever for all these fantastical claims
Joseph was making. Why does the Smithsonian Institute NOT recognize
the Book of Mormon as an actual historical record?
13. Why does the Book of Mormon quote parts of Isaiah (deutero-Isaiah) that
werent written yet?

14. Mormons say, Joseph Smith wasnt even educated! How could he have
written such a book like the Book of Mormon? Well, if you want the
truth, he plagiarized it from The Late War and other books--including
the Bible and View of the Hebrews.. take a look for yourself: How on
EARTH do you explain THIS besides plagiarism:
http://wordtreefoundation.github.io/thelatewar/
15. Why does Jacob chapter 2 contradict Doctrine and Covenants 132 directly
about polygamy? And after you answer this then why did Joseph not raise
seed unto God with Fanny or Helen or anyone else?
16. Joseph Smith married a
14 year-old child
by coercion named Helen Mar
Kimball. (source LDS.org) And most likely had sexual intercourse with her
if
he indeed obeyed the scriptural reasons for polygamy, which were multiply
and replenish and raise seed unto God. The average age for marriage in that
time was around 22 years of age--although I admit Im not apprised of the
standard deviation or P-value. If he did this today he would be featured on
To Catch a Predator
with Chris Hansen. He also married other teenagers.
https://www.lds.org/topics/plural-marriage-in-kirtland-and-nauvoo?lang=e
ng
17.According to Joseph, God forced him into doing polygamy via an angel
with a flaming sword threatening obedience or destruction. Also
according to Joseph, God cast out Satan for trying to force people to
obey it sounds like that angel had the EXACT same idea as Satan did
(i.e.) forced obedience.
18. Joseph Smith married other living mens wivesthe practice of polyandry.
After he died, Brigham Young then married them, stating as prophet, seer,
and revelator that a man must enter into polygamy to enter into the highest
degree of heaven.
19. Joseph Smith married mother-daughter couples. Leviticus 20:14 -

And if a
man take a wife and her mother, it
is
wickedness: they shall be burnt with
fire, both he and they; that there be no wickedness among you. Sounds like
Joseph should have been set ablaze, according to the ever-moral Bible.
20. Joseph Smith married women without Emmas consent. (LDS.org)
21. Polygamy was/is illegal. The Articles of faith 1:12
22. Eternal polygamy is still doctrinefor men only. Handbook 1: Stake
president and Bishops (2010) p. 20
23. Why do Jacob 2 and the following scriptures oppose polygamy?

1835 Doctrine & Covenants 101:4 (Now mysteriously deleted from D&C):
Inasmuch as this Church of Christ has been reproached with the crime of
fornication, and polygamy: we declare that we believe, that one man should have
one wife; and one woman, but one husband, except in case of death, when
either is at liberty to marry again.
1835 Doctrine & Covenants 13:7:
Thou shalt love thy wife with all thy heart, and shall cleave unto her and none else.
1835 Doctrine & Covenants 65:3:
Wherefore, it is lawful that he should have one wife, and they twain shall be one
flesh, and all this that the earth might answer the end of its creation.
24. Doctrine and Covenants 132 (all of it)
25.There is a second anointing in the temple. Wives prepare their
husbands to become kings and gods and lay their hands on husbands
heads. Your calling and election can be made sure by MEN ON EARTH-NOT GOD.

26.Why were there masonic blood oaths in the temple prior to 1990, in which
you make an oath to commit suicide if you ever reveal the signs and tokens?
Why was a Christian minister depicted bargaining with Satan to teach lies
prior to 1990? Why, under Joseph Smith and prior to 1877, was the
endowment only performed for the living? Why were the five points of
fellowship removed the the temple endowment in 1990?
27. Why were the blood oaths removed in the year 1990 if Joseph really received
the endowment straight from God?
28. Blacks couldnt have the priesthood of God, even while the prophet was
speaking face to face with God. Who knew that too much melanin would
make you lose your ability to come forth in the first resurrection.
29. Brazilians had a little African blood and therefore could not enter the very
temple they built (Sao Paulo) because of this. Aborigines were fine though.

30. There are multiple versions of the first vision--this wouldnt hold up in a
court of law very well and would appear to be a lie.
https://www.lds.org/topics/first-vision-accounts?lang=eng
31. The Book of Mormon says the word adieu even though Joseph was reading
words off of a stone in a hat. Did God decide to get French all of a sudden?
The Book of Mormon has that certain je ne sais quoi. Jacob 7:27
32. Brigham Young (as prophet, seer, and revelator) taught that blacks were
inferior, people live on the sun, Adam was God, polygamy is required for
exaltation, and many other strange things. The living prophet now rejects
some of these claims.
Which prophet is telling the truth?

God, duped by Mark Hoffmana con man and serial killer?

34. Joseph translated the fraudulent Kinderhook plates. Even though the
article says that there is no evidence that he did, it later says that the
prophets biographer said he indeed translated it.

35. The church has children announce what they know as testimony before
they ever really know it or have a chance to think about it or research it. It is
pure inculcation.

36. I was baptized at eight years old, I dont recall being baptized because I knew
it to be true and agreeing with every single one of its teachings. This is child
abuse.
37. I was baptized before I knew what was going on.
38. Why does repetitive inculcation count as a good way to gain a testimony?
"It is not unusual to have a missionary say, How can I bear testimony until I get
one? How can I testify that God lives, that Jesus is the Christ, and that the gospel

is true? If I do not have such a testimony, would that not be dishonest? Oh, if I
could teach you this one principle: a testimony is to be found in the bearing of
it!
Boyd K. Packer, The Quest for Spiritual Knowledge
"Another way to seek a testimony seems astonishing when compared with the
methods of obtaining other knowledge. We gain or strengthen a testimony by
bearing it. Someone even suggested that some testimonies are better gained on
the feet bearing them than on the knees praying for them."
Dallin H. Oaks, Testimony
39. Why are there European masonic rituals in the temple that stem from the
middle ages and not from Solomons temple? I have read Mason ritual books
and they are nearly word for word the temple ceremony--including the blood
oaths.
40. The population of church members is about 14 million. The population of
active members is about 5 million. The population of people that are on the
earth or have ever passed on the earth is 7.8 billion and 108 billion,
respectively. This means that the true church has been made known to .05%
of Gods children. How could God be so inefficient? 99.95% of the world can
make it to heaven according to Joseph Smith, but I have to do myriads of
complicated things in order to achieve thisincluding practice polygamy.
How could God be this inefficient, and require baptisms for the dead (which
Wilford Woodruff came up with NOT Joseph Smith--the man who received it
straight from God)?
The numbers get even stranger when you consider that only a portion of the
active 5 million hold a temple recommend. Statistically speaking, temple-going
Mormons are so few compared to the rest of Gods children that the whole idea
becomes insanely inefficient.

41. The churchs financial side is called Deseret Management Corporation. As an

organization the church has tens of billions of dollars. The church built a 1.5
billion dollar shopping center with that sacred money (or proceeds from that
sacred money)--more than 30 years of their humanitarian aid. The church
built high-rises in Philadelphia with that sacred money. The church built a
400 million dollar conference center with that sacred money. The church
built condominiums in Hawaii with that sacred money. The church pays for
girls to go to BYUI for three years, then get married and drop out with that
sacred money. The church built the BYU-I center for millions of dollars,
which rarely gets used for anythingI walk its empty elegant halls thinking
of the starving Brazilians who paid for it.
The new BYU-I president is vice
president of DMC and CEO of Deseret Book.
42. The church owns game preserves and encourages the practice of blood sport.
Elderly missionary couples PAY to WORK for the church and then the church
makes a PROFIT from the killing of animals NOT in times of famine or winter.
Hunting permits can cost thousands on this land. How many game preserves
did Jesus run?

43. Women have no real authority in the church (not even the curriculum of the
relief society) and have to listen to men, get blessed by men, get sealed to
menby men, and have that man usher them into heaven, in order to get
into heaven. Then they will share their man with other women for eternity.

44. All of the Book of Mormon witnesses, excepting Martin Harris, were related
by blood or marriage either with the Smiths or Whitmers. Oliver Cowdery
(married to Elizabeth Ann Whitmer and cousin to Joseph Smith), Hiram
Page(married to Catherine Whitmer), and the five Whitmers were related by
marriage. Of course, Hyrum Smith, Samuel Smith, and Joseph Smith Sr. were
Josephs brothers and father. By 1847, not one of the surviving witnesses to
the plates were part of the LDS church.
45. Within eight years, all of the Three Witnesses were excommunicated from
the Church. This is what Joseph Smith said about them in 1838:
Such characters asJohn Whitmer, David Whitmer, Oliver Cowdery,
and Martin Harris, are too mean to mention; and we had liked to have
forgotten them. History of the Church Vol. 3, Ch. 15, p. 232
46. The prophet and apostles misled the church against Gods will for 125 years
saying that blacks could not have the priesthood.
47. Brigham Young as prophet, seer, and revelator said that whites and blacks
getting married is punishable by death under Gods law, and this will always
be so.
48. Nephi murdered Laban (while unconscious) even though Jerusalem was
about to be destroyed anyway. This example has been used to justify
murder. Joseph then neglects to use these murder-effected plates in effecting
the Book of Mormon and this affects me deeply via a disturbing effect.

49. The church whitewashes its history and portrays teachings/things
incompletely. For example, in the Churchs Sunday School manual, Teachings
of the Presidents of the Church: Brigham Young, the Church changed the
word wives to [wife]. It also doesnt mention any of his other marriages
and makes him look monogamous.

50. Joseph Smith went to Carthage like a lamb to the slaughter and was calm as a
summers morning. He was martyred well almost. He pulled out a pistol
and shot three men in the arm and face and shoulder, possibly killing two of
them and then tried to escape.

51. Joseph Smith was in Carthage in the first place for commanding a printing
press be burnt to the ground so it couldnt talk about his polygamy.
On June
10, 1844, Joseph Smith, who was the mayor of Nauvoo, and the Nauvoo city
council ordered the destruction of the
Nauvoo Expositor
and the press on
which it was printed. -LDS.org
52. The Sabbath day is up for each family to decide, thus leading to judgment and
gossiping.
53. Tea is against the Word of Wisdom in the United States, but its NOT against
the Word of Wisdom in Brazilexcept for black tea. How can an eternal law
be mutable from country to country when our bodies are the same?
54. Coffee and tea are grounds for judgment from others and not entering the
temple, but members seem to eat meat by the ton when its not even winter
or a time of famine. Why does one commandment get so much attention and
the other gets ignored almost completely? Why is beer allowed in D&C 89,
but now it is not? Has it anything to with Prohibition in the United States?
55. The church is no longer transparent in its finances.
56. The church teaches we should pay tithing before feeding our family or paying
the bills.

57. There is a temptation for the writer or the teacher of Church history to want
to tell everything, whether it is worthy or faith promoting or not. Some things
that are true are not very useful. -Boyd K. Packer
Truth is truth, and should
not be hidden.
58. Joseph Smith wrote an Egyptian grammar piece. On LDS.org it says of this
writing,
The relationship of these documents to the book of Abraham is not

fully understood. Neither the rules nor the translations in the grammar book
correspond to those recognized by Egyptologists today.
59. Mormon and non-Mormon Egyptologists agree that the characters on the
fragments do not match the translation given in the book of Abraham
-LDS.org
60. no man or woman in this dispensation will ever enter into the celestial kingdom
of God without the consent of Joseph Smith
Brigham Young
61. Homosexuals have to either marry someone to whom they are not attracted
or live alone for the rest of their lives.
62. There are various suicides and suicide attempts from the LGBT community
because of the teachings of the church,
including people I know
.
63.
Non-members can go to church schools and change to Mormon, but if you
change your faith from Mormon to something else while in school you get
expelled from the university and lose all your time and credits because they
will not transfer--this leads to MANY students hiding and lying about their
struggles in order to protect the well-being of their families and their careers.
64. Priesthood leaders are alone with youth, and ask them personal
questionsincluding questions about their sexuality and sexual
explorations. This is completely inappropriate, especially when the leaders
go on to give sexual advice based on nothing more than their personal belief.
65. Church meetings are often bland, repetitive, generally uninspiring, and only
sometimes talk about Jesus Christ.
There have been Sundays where his
name is utterly absent other than in prayer.
66. The church says it is about families but between meetings, callings, young
mens/womens, scouts, missions, elderly missions, activities, bishoprics,
stake presidencies, authority callings, home teaching, visiting teaching,
priesthood duties, game preserve missions, and more it does actually
physically separate the family.

67. Families cannot attend their childrens temple wedding if they do not have a
recommend.
68. The church has cultural doctrines, things that arent really doctrine but you
will be judged and gossiped about if you do them. R-rated movies are a
perfect demonstration, for example, Passion of the Christ (R) and Not
Another Teen Movie (PG-13) or About Time (R) and The Last Exorcism
(PG-13). The church would never let the MPAA define the movies we watch,

but cultural doctrine says we should watch PG-13 not R-rated movies.
Another example is Slumdog Millionaire (R) and Insidious (PG-13). Another
cultural doctrine is eschewing caffeinated drinks. Strangely though, large
amounts of meat, eating junk, and not exercising are totally acceptable in this
cultural doctrine.
69. The church, or at least its universities, teaches that we should get married
young and start having kids; this can often be a recipe for disaster.
Every
single Mormon couple my wife and I have lived beneath at BYU-I has
been abusive--sometimes violently so. Ask her if this is not true. This is
either a miraculous coincidence or it is all too common.
Does this
happen outside the church too? Yes, of course. But I feel strongly that we
have some recipes for disaster happening.
70. DNA evidence suggests that the Americas were not colonized by ancient
Jews; their DNA, rather, is of Asian descent. The Book of Mormon teaches
otherwise. The introduction to the Book of Mormon was changed in 2006 to
attempt to not conflict with current DNA evidence.
71. If Jesus came to BYU-Idaho he would be asked to leave because of his robe,
sandals, long hair, and facial hair.
72. For men, a disciplinary council includes advocates for the transgressor
because it is a stake disciplinary council. For women, however, they are on
their own in a disciplinary council because its a ward one.
73. Local priesthood leaders have an excessive amount of power over the eternal
salvation of someone especially considering the variation from location to
location in austerity.
74. Why cant I see the church handbook of instructions or the finances of the
church?
75. The oldest surviving member of the governing body of the church becomes
the new prophet and they are not chosen in any manner besides this
succession pattern.
76. Current prophets tell us when past prophets were talking crazy and werent
talking prophetically even though the past prophet thought it was the will of
God at the time. How do we know that future prophets arent going to do the
same exact thing? Which prophet is correct?
77. Joseph Smith claimed he did better than Jesus himself at organizing a church.

God is in the still small voice. In all these affidavits, indictments, it is all of the

devil--all corruption. Come on! ye prosecutors! ye false swearers! All hell, boil
over! Ye burning mountains, roll down your lava! for I will come out on the top
at last. I have more to boast of than ever any man had. I am the only man that
has ever been able to keep a whole church together since the days of Adam. A
large majority of the whole have stood by me. Neither Paul, John, Peter, nor
Jesus ever did it. I boast that no man ever did such a work as I. The followers of
Jesus ran away from Him; but the Latter-day Saints never ran away from me
yet.
History of the Church, Vol. 6, pp. 408-409.
78. We have hymns and scriptures and lessons and events about Joseph Smith.
Many times his name is mentioned more than Jesus name in church
meetings.
79. The church sends out full-time missionaries to dangerous places before their
prefrontal cortex has even developed to preach their inculcation from birth
about Joseph Smith. I nearly died three times, was malnourished, lived in
horrible conditions, ate once per day, could barely contact my family, and
baptized people precipitously because of a extreme pressure to obtain
NUMBERS.
80. Joseph Smith doubted the status quo and became a hero. I doubt the status
quo and become a villain.
81. We are taught to doubt our doubts before we doubt our faith. I did this. I
doubted every single claim about the church until I verified it with church
sources.
82. 99.95% of the world is going to spirit prison.
83. The church teaches we are saved by the grace of God and by Jesus Christs
atonementafter all we can do. In the Bible it teaches that we are saved by
faith in Jesus Christ. Mormons have to earn their salvation by doing myriads
of little things, and then Jesus will swoop in and save them.
84. The church teaches that the ultimate way to find out if anything is true is to
pray really hard about it and get a good feeling. Feelings are not a very good
or accurate way to dictate your life, take my ex-girlfriend or Taco Bell for
example, you have a really good feeling about them to start, and then they
become one huge mistake later.
85. The church uses its money to get involved in politics.

86. The population growth in the Book of Mormon is greater than the normal
exponential growth function and impossible to have taken placeespecially
without archeological, linguistic, biological, or cultural evidence.
87. The Book of Mormon teaches that black skin is a curse from God.
88. There have been significant revisions about the deity in the Book of Mormon
and the relationship of Indians to Lehi, even though Joseph was reading it
word for word off of a rock in a hat.
89. The Word of Wisdom came directly after Emma got mad at Joseph.
90. The Lord speaks directly at Emma in the D&C in order to coerce her into
polygamy by nasty threats (included telling Emma to forgive Joseph) but has
not spoken directly at any other prophets wife.
91. Lehis dream was a dream that Joseph Smith Sr. had had.
92. General authorities get paid significantly and get
many
other benefits even
though we are supposed to have an unpaid clergy.
93. Tithing is essential for getting a temple recommend. The temple has the
ordinances for salvation. Therefore, you have to pay money to get into
heaven. This makes heaven seem less like something Jesus has given us and
more like a country club.
94. The church gets 8 billion dollars a year in tithing, yet many school buildings
are rundown and BYU-I biology department has gone over budget and we
cant even get refreshments or pay teaching assistants. The money is also
directed away from local congregations.
95. Belief in the church seems to be held at higher importance than living a
Christ-like life. What is so special about belief, if I live a Christ-like life?
Cannot one be a Christian believer and also a horrible person?
96. The temple experience for me was horrible and strange. It was nothing like I
had been lead to think it would be. I thought I would be inspired and have a
sacred experience. Instead I felt uncomfortable and strange.
97. Garments are unattractive, uncomfortable, and Masonic.
98. We agree to make covenants in the temple
before
knowing what they are.
99. Women arent allowed to know as much as men in the temple (temple name).

100.

Your temple name is reused over and over again every other month.

101.

Emma Smith did not follow Brigham Young.

102.

Women are taught to be mothers and wives as their role in life.

103.

A woman had never given a prayer in conference until very recently.

104. We still believe in polygamy, we just dont practice it yet. Men can be
sealed to multiple women but women cant be sealed to multiple men. This
would make them equal and that is just wrong.
105. Women have a heavenly mother but arent allowed to learn anything
about her or pray to her.
106. Women who dont get married or are infertile struggle to fit in in the
church. Along with gays, lesbians, transgender people, people with androgen
insensitivity syndrome, democrats, doubters, minimum wage workers (in
leadership callings), minorities, and others.
107. People with androgen insensitivity syndrome, who have vaginas and
think they are women, can get married to a man in the temple and later find
out that they cant get pregnant because they have undescended testes and
are genotypically male but phenotypically female. Technically this is a man
being sealed to a man in the temple.
108. Other transgender issues, including judgment in the church and
ignorance of science on the matter and doctrinal eternal gender and
marriage issues.
109. The psychological effects of sexual repressionespecially for a young
man that begins feeling sexual urges at 12 and never gets married.
110. Priesthood leaders asking teenage girls if they masturbate. Mission
presidents asking missionaries if they masturbate.
111. This is the only true church on the face of the planet even though
99.95% of the world is not in it.
112. The church leaders tell of not worrying about numbers on your mission
and only having a good experience. On my mission, all we did was numbers
and we were scolded for not having numbers. The retention rate was 5-10%
but it didnt matter. Baptisms mattered. This is not uncommon.

113. The Mormon bubble sometimes causes people to be ignorant of culture,

other religions, facts, and geography.
114.

Joseph claimed that Zelph was a Lamanite.

115. The Bible is replete with God-approved murder, rape, arson, infanticide,
slavery, maltreatment of women, et cetera. Why should I get my morals from
this collection of books? Worse yet is the Mormon teaching that this was
Jehovah-approved, and Jehovah was Jesus. So Jesus commanded all these
horrible things?
God-approved murder examples in the bible: Deuteronomy 17:12, Exodus 22:17,
Leviticus 20:13, Exodus 21:15, Leviticus 20:9, Leviticus 20:10, Leviticus 21:9,
Exodus 22:19, 2 Chronicles 15:12-13, Zechariah 13:3, Deuteronomy 13:13-19,
Deuteronomy 22:20-21, Numbers 1:48-51, 2 Kings 2:23-24, Exodus 31:12-15, 1
Kings 20:35-36, Isaiah 14:21, and many more...

116. Why does the Book of Mormon mention the Bible, which hadnt been
assembled yet and no such concept existed?
117.

Why does Joseph make multiple prophecies that never came true?

118. Even if you know that Joseph Smith was a prophet, have you asked if
Brigham Young was his proper successor? How do you know that the
Community of Christ is not the one true church? What do you say to a
Jehovahs Witness who has received spiritual confirmation that THEY are in
the ONLY true church. Are they being deceived? Are you?
119. Why, in the history of the church, does Joseph Smith drink alcohol
multitudinous times after the Word of Wisdom had come forth--including
beer and wine?
History of the Church, vol. 5, pg. 380, The Diaries and
Journals of Joseph Smith, edited by Scott H. Faulring, Signature Books, Salt
Lake City, Utah, 1989, pg. 486, History of the Church, vol. 6, pg. 616,
120. Why have I not received a spiritual confirmation that the Mormon
church is the one and only true church on earth--even when I was a true
believer on my mission?
121. Why, when people have near-death experiences or visions, do they all see
different deities? Magically they all see the deity they were raised to believe.
I have yet to hear of a Muslim who saw Jesus at any time instead of
Muhammed or their depiction of God. Why did Joseph say in one of his
accounts of the first vision that Jesus had blue eyes?

122. Why is Mormon Jesus a Norwegian-looking white man in all

church-approved artwork, even though he was born in the Middle East?
123. If we really need signs and tokens to get into heaven, then why can
anyone get those signs and tokens off Youtube and then give them to the
angels?
124. Why, when I was a
true believer
on my mission, did most/all priesthood
blessings NOT work on me? Why can I not recall a single time my given
priesthood blessings worked?
125. Mormon doctrine teaches that we can no longer progress after this life
once we are stuck in a kingdom. Why would anyone want this celestial North
Korea anyway?
126.
Why, according to the recent church article and Rough Stone
Rolling, did Joseph Smith use the same rock that he used to seek for
buried treasure as a youth as he did to translate ancient texts? -LDS.org
127. If a pedophile molests my daughter and then confesses to a bishop,
the bishop if bound by Utah law to not tell the authorities--thus
allowing the heinous crime to continue.

position in regard to authority. They cant baptize or confirm, ordain sons to
offices, give blessings, dedicate a home, or officiate.

130. Joseph Smith claimed to know Adamic words; those words bear a
laughable resemblance to the English language Joseph spoke--especially
when you study etymology and when you know multiple languages like I do.
Its a joke really.
God

Son of God = Son Ahman

Angels

131. Why did the gold plates come from a hill only to be taken back into
heaven? Why didnt they come from heaven in the first place? If the angel
could take plates, why didnt he bring them?
132. Why did the prophet Brigham Young teach about blood atonement
suicide in order to atone for grave sins?

133. Why, in my entire life, have I not heard Gordon B. Hinkley or Thomas S.
Monson prophesy? The prophets of the Bible, Joseph Smith, and Brigham
Young prophesied all the time in the name of God--albeit many of the
prophecies were false. Modern prophets do not prophesy. They also do not
translate. They have not finished the translations that Joseph was allegedly
making. They have not finished translating the Bible. They simply give
advice, and sometimes that advice is wonderful and sometimes it is
questionable at best.
134. Why is there no specific date for the restoration of the priesthood,
arguably the most important thing that could have happened?
135. Why was I told not to teach deep doctrine on my mission? There
shouldnt be any deep doctrine, there should only be the truth.
136. Mormons teach that Lucifer is my brother. Also, they teach that Lucifer is
the devils proper name without knowing the etymology of Lucifer and the
background behind its single mention in the Bible.
137. Every religious person is also an atheist for every god except their own.
As a Christian for example, you don't believe that Allah or Gonesh or Thor or
any other god runs or created the world. You think those gods and all the
others like them are made up fairy tales. Why dont you believe in Allah?
How much of your belief is simply a sociocultural inculcation?
138. Science continually disproves religious notions, some of these include:
the earth being a sphere, the earth being older than 6,000 years, Germ

Theory, Theory of Evolution, astrophysics, shooting stars not being actual

stars, the earth revolving around the sun,
the earth not being flooded, Jesus
not being pasty white, Native Americans not being from Israel, the Book of
Abraham not being accurate, the Book of Mormon having matching 4grams
with other books, and much more.
139.
What are the odds that in historys endless parade of gods that the god
you just happened to be taught to believe is the actual one and he digs on
healing? But not the aids-ridden African nation, nor the victims of the plague,
nor the flood-addled Asians, nor the children with acute lymphocytic
leukemia, nor the children with Epidermolysis Bullosa, nor the children with
Harlequin Ichthyosis, nor the children starving in Africa, nor the
impoverished children of the favelas of Brazil, nor the children in the slums
of India, nor the children bombed children in Syria, nor the shelled children
in Ukraine, nor the orphans in Ghana, nor the children in the Bible who were
murdered by Moses, nor the children in the Bible who were murdered by
Gods flood, nor the children in the Bible who were murdered by the prophet
Elisha, nor the children in the Bible who were murdered by god, nor children
in the bible who were murdered in Ezekiel or Isaiah or Leviticus, nor the rest
of the millions of diseased, starving, poor, dolorific, homeless, abused, raped,
indoctrinated, and neglected children of the world. Only middle-class white
Mormons who pray--especially if they do a powerful BOOST prayer on the
temple roles. But most of the time not them either its almost as if this
amazing deity isnt an interventionist god at all--which would make prayer to
this omnipotent being utterly feckless.
140.

Why do the Apocrypha contain the words Nephi and Laban?

141. Why, in the adventures of Captain Kidd--which Joseph is said to have read
by multiple accounts--does Captain Kidd travel to the Comoros Islands the
capital of which is Moroni (still to this day), and bury treasure? Did reading
these books influence Joseph to come up with the Hill Cumorah (spelled
Comorah in the original BoM) where he searched for buried treasure and
was led by an angel who happened to be named Moroni? This is either a
huge coincidence or another manifestation of Josephs modus operandi of
plagiarism.
142. Why is a spiritual confirmation a considered reliable method of finding
the truth; considering that this is the method used by all different churches
arriving at all different truths? It seems to be a highly unreliable method.
143. Evergreen International gay aversion vomit therapy and shock therapy
through the LDS church.

144. If there is a deity, who wanted us to believe, why would he give such
terrible evidence, and then, on top of that, add evidence to the contrary of
Bible and Book of Mormon stories? Why is it a heavenly quality, to observe a
palmaris longis, auricularis muscles, appenices, some semi plica lunaris
structures, a Darwins tubercle, a coccyx, unguicles, and then DISCOUNT all of
that to believe a story of two naked people and a talking snake as the
beginning of a 6,000 year-old planet? Why provide MOUNTAINS of evidence
contradicting these certainly fantastic and extraordinary stories? Is it a test?
A test of what exactly? To see if we can ignore our intellect, ignore evidence,
ignore our bodies, ignore critical thought, and just believe in things on
terrible evidence? Why is THAT laudable? Why is that good? If there is a
god, then he gave me my intellect and I will be intellectually honest.
145.
How much of the Mormon testimony consists of actual research upon
the keystone of our religion and how much of it is a sociocultural childhood
inculcation/non-unique spiritual confirmation?
146. If faith is believing without having a perfect knowledge of something, why
do Mormons think its acceptable to teach their kids this doctrine as fact?
Why dont parents teach their children this is a
belief
, based on
feelings
,
instead of telling them, I
know
this church is true. This phrase should be
outlawed in the church. If you really
perfectly knew
, then you wouldnt need
any faith at all. The proper phrase should be, I believe this church is true.
147. Why is 8 years old considered an acceptable time to baptize a child into a
lifelong religion without them knowing world religious history, church
history, controversy, critical thinking skills, logical fallacies, commitments,
theology, foreign culture, et cetera? Why should you ever teach your child
what
to think instead of teaching them
how
to think? And no, you cannot
teach them how to think while simultaneously teaching them what to think.

148.

What if Im wrong about Mormonism? Wouldnt it be better to err on the

side of faith rather than reason?

If Im wrong, and God is truly merciful and just, then I believe He will understand and
forgive me. Why? Because I have used all the mental and spiritual capacities he has
given me to make the best decision I can with the evidence he has provided me up to
this point, including church historical records and scripture, my own reasoning ability,
and the influence of spiritual promptings and intuition I have received after much
seeking. If I end up being wrong, how could God possibly condemn me for doing my
best to follow what I determined to be true using all the tools he gave me? A just and
loving God would not do that. Many people choose to stay in a religion only out of fear

that it might actually be true, and are worried about being on the wrong side at
Judgment day.1 But an omniscient God would see through those reasons, and according
to scripture, wouldnt reward that kind of half-hearted faith anyway.2 If reason tells
you the church isn't true, then staying in it out of fear is not going to get you a reward
in Heaven. An honest God would reward integrity to truth over faithfulness to
falsehood.
