Were Moving! Update on

New Home for Hardy Brown
College Prep!
We will announce the date of when
we will officially move. For now, we
are still at our current location until
further notice.
The renovation process has begun.
We will move to the new site when
construction is complete, mid-year of
the 2015-2016 school year.
Yes! The new building will
accommodate HBCPs elementary and
middle school programs.
Highlights of New Location:

and security officers patrol
parking lot daily!
Two Multipurpose Rooms!
One for Middle School and
One for Elementary

I hope all of our H.B.C.P families had a wonderful Thanksgiving and

intersession break! The next three weeks of school, before Winter
Break, will be important as we continue to teach our curriculum and
Common Core standards. Please make sure to bring your child to
school each day, and on time. This is the start of Trimester 2, and I
want our scholars to start off strong. I look forward to seeing our
scholars excel and achieve. Lets continue to work together to help
our scholars succeed!

No School on December 18th

As many of you already know, we will be moving locations very
soon. See the sidebar to the left for additional details. Due to our
upcoming move, we will need to prepare for the move on Friday,
December 18th. This is marked as a school day on the calendar for
the school year, however, we will have no school on December
18th. All staff will be preparing for the upcoming move. Please spread
the word that Friday, December 18th is a non-scholar day; no
school. Thank you in advance!

Dress Uniform-Effective December 2nd

This is a reminder that this Wednesday, December 2nd is the
effective date for all scholars to be in their dress uniform as stated in
HBCPs Parent/Student handbook. We are working on having
Carrusel Uniforms come out to HBCP again soon. All scholars in
grades K-5 should have a white button down shirt, navy blue
embroidered cardigan and/or vest, a green plaid tie, khaki bottoms,
dark socks (boys) and white or navy blue knee highs/tights (girls),
brown, navy blue, or black shoes (no tennis shoes). Middle School
scholars should have all of the above with the exception of a navy
blue blazer with our embroidered school logo instead of a cardigan
or vest. Make sure your scholar is in their dress uniform this
Wednesday.

School Site Council Voting

love our families!

The School Site Council currently includes myself (Ms. Allen-Principal), 2

Teacher Leaders, and 2 parents. We are looking to add two more
parents/guardians to the School Site Council to serve on the Council for the
remainder of the school year. The School Site Council meets regularly
throughout the school year to discuss various topics. We want all families to
vote for the two parent advocates you would like to be a part of HBCPs
School Site Council. Voting will take place from December 2nd-December
16th. You will conduct the voting in the front office. Thank you to the
parents/guardians who have shown their interest in HBCPs School Site
HBCP Teacher Leaders completed 351 out Council. Below are the list of possible candidates for the School Site Council.
During December 2nd-December 16th, you will vote for two candidates from
of 364 parent/teacher conferences in
the list below:
Trimester 1. Our expectation is 100%

attendance for parent/teacher conferences

and we were very close to that goal with
96% completion. Thank you to all our
parents/guardians for attending
parent/teacher conferences at HBCP. As
you know, your role is vital in our scholars
education.
