Purpose: This documentation is for setting up bizhub C754/C654 and

C554/C464/C364/C284/C224 vCare/CSRC Oneway (Simplex) HTTP communication..
Convention: bizhub vCare is the US brand used by KMBS for Konica Minoltas
worldwide CS Remote Care System (CSRC).
Overview: The settings entered into the CS Remote Care section of the bizhub are
intended to do the following:

Set the MFP with the current date, time and timezone according to Military Time.
When the MFP communicates with the vCare/CSRC host, the MFP will report the
date and time for its specific location.

Set a uniqueidentificationcode for communicating to a specific vCare/CSRC host

system.

Set a uniqueHTTPconnection for the MFP, as well as the IP addresses/ Link

information of the WEB/DAV server. All passwords, user names and port settings
for HTTP will be set to allow the MFP to communicate with the WEB/DAV server(s)
supporting vCare/CSRC

A. Administrative Requirements Prior to MFP HTTP Setup

The MFPs HTTP settings and Server addresses MUST be obtained prior to
setting up the MFP for HTTP Communication.

B. MFP Specific Requirements

The technician performing the HTTP setup must have the following information from
the vCare administrator before visiting the customer:
1. DeviceID: The Device ID for MFP must match the 13 digit ID configured on
CSRC Server. The Device ID is the serial number for the MFP. This setting is
hard-coded in the bizhub C754/C654/C554/C454/C364/C284/C224
vCare/CSRC settings.
2. CenterID: This ID is used by the vCare/CSRC Communication Server.
3. WEB/DAVServerIPAddress: The IP address/URL for the WEB/DAV Server.
4. HTTPPort: Typically 80, unless otherwise indicated.
5. ServiceEngineersIDnumber: The SE ID is a seven-digit number. It should be
unique to the technician servicing the machine. Enter leading zeros if required;
e.g. 0123456. If no numeric ID assigned, simply use: 1234567.

C. Setting MFP Date/Time Settings

1. Press the Menu key, then the Utility icon

2. Press [Administrator Settings] on the touchscreen.

3. Enter Administrator password, as required. (Default = 1234567812345678)
4. Press [System Setting] then [Date/Time Setting].
5. Enter Year, Month, Day [Daily on touchscreen], Hour and Minutes.
Note: Set Date will be displayed, if MFP is configured to communicate with NTP
Network Time Protocol server. Pressing this button will populate Year, Month, Day,
Hour and Minute.

6. Enter correct time zone by pressing the - or + keys and then press OK to save the
changes. This setting will be required, even with NTP configured on the MFP.

a. Eastern Time Zone: -05:00

b. Central Time Zone: -06:00
c. Mountain Time Zone: -07:00
d. Pacific Time Zone: -08:00

7. From [System Settings] - [Daylight Savings Time] press [Enable Settings]

8. Press Yes, then enter 60 min, then touch OK.

9. Press [Start/End] Settings

10. Specify the beginning and end of Daylight Savings Time, then press OK. Press
Close.

D. Configuring MFP for One-Way (HTTP) Communication

1. To Tech Rep Mode, perform the following:
a.

Press the Counter button at the top of the display panel.

b. Press [Meter Count] -> -STOP - > 00 -> STOP -> 01.
Note: It may be necessary to slide the display panel to the left
in order to access the numeric keypad.

Note: Enter the CE Password if required (Default 9272927292729272)

2. Press [CS Remote Care] button.

3. Select [Maintenance/Default Settings].

4. Select HTTP2 to set up the MFP for One-Way HTTP Communication

5. Select [ID Code]

6. Next, enter your 7 digit ID code, then select [ID code] again.

ID CODE: 1234567

Note: Your Tech ID is less than seven digits then enter leading zeros for fill in remain
places

7. Press [Detail Setting] button at this time.

8. Press [RAM Clear] -> Press SET -> Press END. The RAM clear will clear any
previous CSRC settings, then Cycle Power.

(Once complete Repeat steps 1- 7 and proceed to step 10)

10. Select [Basic Setting] and then press [Center ID].
Enter the Center ID provided by your vCare Administrator. Example: USXXX

11. Select [Client Settings] and press NO for the Encryption setting.

E. Heart Beat Settings

Note: The Heartbeat function provides a status update of the MFPs condition.
This setting is not necessary to be configured, if MFPs report frequently.
To Disable, in the Basic setting menu, select the Heat Beat tab, enter the following:
Communication: No
Specified Transmission: No

F: Setting vCare Date and Time settings

1. Within the Detail Settings, select [Date & Time Setting].
2. Enter the Current Year, Month, and Date.
3. Enter the Hour and Minute (Military Time) then press [Set].
4. Select the Time Zone button and enter the correct Time Zone. Then press [Set].
a. Eastern Time Zone: -05:00
b. Central Time Zone: -06:00
c. Mountain Time Zone: -07:00
d. Pacific Time Zone:
-08:00

Note: To Clear the Time Zone setting, press the C button on the MFPs display panel.

G. Setting the Notification Schedule and Center Notification

Notification Schedule
1. Within the [Detail Setting], select [Notification Settings].
2. Select Schedule and press Enable.
3. Select Day and enter 2 for Day Frequency.

*ENTER 1 FOR DAY FREQUENCY

4. Next, press the Time key and specify the current time
5. Then, press SET

H. Configuring WebDav Settings

1. Select [Server Setting].

2. Select HTTP Server Settings and the URL tab.

3. Enter the WebDAV Server IP Address.

4. Then, select the [Input FQDN] button.

5. Key in /webname/ so that it is appended to the previously entered IP Address.

Note: The entire URL string should display, similar to: 10.15.1.237/webname/

10. Enter the Password.

11. Select Port Number

12. Enter Port # (Default is 80).
13. If required, select Proxy/SSL and enter necessary settings.
14. Press End.

I. First Call to the vCare System

1. From within the Tech Rep Mode CS Remote Care settings, select Detail Setting.

2. Select Basic Settings, then the Initial Transmission tab at the top.
3. Then press the Initial Transmission button at the bottom right.

4. If the Initial Transmission, is successful then Job Complete will display.

5. After Job Complete displays, Wait 15 seconds, then select the [Start
Maintenance] button

6. Specify Maintenance Schedule hours (default 2 hours), then press END.

7. Press the [Maintenance Completion] button.

Note: The Maintenance Start function allows you to perform

maintenance\troubleshooting so the engine does not send erroneous failure codes to the
vCare System.

J. Printing a vCare Communication Log

1. Load Tray 1 or the By-Pass tray with 81/2 X 11 inch paper.
2. Enter Tech Rep mode.
3. Touch [CS-Remote Care].
4. Select ID code and enter the 7 digit code.

5. Touch ID code a second time.

6. Touch Detail Settings to then press [Communication Log Print]
7. Press the Start Key to print the communication Log.
