Coursework

100%

Practical Projects and Process Workbook:

How Will My Work on Design Realisation be Assessed?

Your ability to critically reflect upon specified texts and dramatic genre from a
theatre design perspective was:
This criterion relates to your capacity to analyse both the dramatic stimulus, Georg
Kaisers From Morning to Midnight, and reflect upon the visual and performance styles
of Expressionism. Use the study tasks included in the module booklet as a starting point
for you to research, from the perspective of a theatre designer, the influences of
Expressionism in Cinema, Theatre, Art and Architecture. Your understanding of the ideas,
styles and techniques employed by Expressionism should be demonstrated in both your
Process Workbook/Portfolio and your Final Project Presentation.
Your ability to examine and apply design methodologies in the exploration of a given
dramatic brief was:
This criterion relates to the process of design and your ability to apply those methods and
skills gained in the previous two modules on design principles and design process. It will
require organised, structured and creative exploration.
Your ability to apply technical and production processes in the realisation of
appropriately complex design ideas was:
This criterion assesses your ability to apply those developmental Level 4 skills in
technical and production practices. The issue here is how effectively you plan and
manage the realisation of your design ideas. This includes the ability to work as an
effective member of a production team. This criterion is assessed via your Process
Workbook/Portfolio and your Final Project Presentation.
Your ability to organise your knowledge independently, through library,
information and creative resources was:
This criterion assesses your ability to plan and organise your knowledge and research and
present the information through a range of sources. Good use of the module bibliography
and a structured approach to recording the process will assist you. This criterion also
assesses those developmental skills of reflection and critical analysis of your learning
throughout the whole process.
