MARS League rules

Rubbing is racing, but be an idiot and you get penalized.

Lobby Specifics:
1.1- A max of 10 cars per race lobby.
1.2- Qualifying is in-game format.
1.3- 2x tire and fuel.
1.4- No damage/setups.
1.5- Race lengths (unless doubleheader, which are 20%) are 50%, and there are NO cautions
after 4 laps to go.
1.6- Restarts are ALWAYS at the line.
1.7- Do not advance your position before the line when preventable. (L1-2)
1.8- The maximum space you can lay off the car ahead of you on restarts is approx. 1/2 car
length. No laying back car lengths or more. (L1-2)
1.9- Do not switch lines before the line on restarts. (L1-2)
*1.7- 1.9 are punishable by a pass through, and or point penalty if broken.*
1.10- Lucky Dog eligibility: 1st lapped car at time of caution, cannot be involved in caution.
1.11- Wave Around eligibility: any lapped car other than the first, cannot pit under caution.

General Rules:
2.1- NO stopping/blocking the racing surface when it can be prevented - failure to follow this
rule will result in an automatic suspension. (L3+)
2.2- Top 10 in points qualify for the A Lobby for the race, 11-20 qualify for B.
2.3- Be respectful. No offensive speech or slurs, or the Board is at liberty to suspend you if
necessary.
2.4- I, Andrew Cardinale IV, reserve the right at any time to remove anyone from my race(s),
and/or league entirely.
2.5- Prior to our Michigan race, MARS and NYN made a deal stating that penalties in NYN will
be enforced in MARS, and so on. There will be certain exceptions, but very few.
2.6- There is no pit speed. If you alone wreck because you entered too fast, there will be no
yellow.
2.7- Intentional wrecks, for whatever reason, will be met with a suspension. (L3+)
2.8- Being over aggressive on-track and causing wrecks can result in a variety of penalties.

2.9- Failure to attempt to compensate for any possible Bubble can result in a variety of
penalties.

2.10- Direct defiance of race orders will result in a severe penalty.

2.11- Three or more cautions caused in a row by one driver will result in atleast a
Disqualification, and possibly in a penalty.

2.12- After 3 cautions within 5 GREEN FLAG laps, a grace period of no cautions is to be called
by the race director. The first step on tracks greater than 3/4 mile in length is 5 laps, then 10, 15,
and so on. The first step on tracks shorter than or equal to 3/4 mile in length is 15 laps, then 20,
25, and so on.

2.13- If a rivalry begins in or carries into a race and causes more than 2 cautions in that race, all
drivers involved will face a penalty based on actions leading up to, and in that race. (

Backouts:
3.1- ONE backout PER RACE unless the entire lobby/lobby host is severely affected. Lobbies will
NOT be reset in the first 10 laps, or in the second half unless the entire lobby or lobby host is
affected.
3.2- If you cannot see two or more drivers while in the lobby or race, you will be asked to leave.
Failure to do so will result in a points deduction.
3.3- If the lobby is reset, only the cars that were running at time of the reset will be receive
invites to the new lobby.
3.4- Please remember that these lobbies are on a peer to peer connection, not a server. Please
take any steps you can to improve the quality of your connection.
3.5- Backing out even once and saying Im done, I quit, or anything similar over your mic
may automatically forfeit your position in the race if agreed upon by present Board members.

Cautions:
4.1- When there is a caution, we race back to the line. Then, stop ON THE BACK
STRAIGHT-AWAY. When we pit, if any of the lead lap cars pits, the Wave-Around cars can go
around with the Lucky Dog.. Then w'll get together and pace to the line for the restart.
4.2- Under caution, if you do not maintain caution speed for any reason, high or low, you will be
asked to go to the back of the field rather than retaking your position.
4.3- Any cars involved in the wreck will be placed in the rear before we pit. Then, you keep the
position you exited the pits in. No dropping to the rear of the field unless an official specifies.
4.4- Mic-fights will result in a penalty. In lobby or race. (L2-3)

Off-Track:
5.1- Whether on Facebook or Xbox, drivers are expected to obey and respect all figures of
authority within the league, unless specified otherwise by the league owner. (12/19/15)
5.2- The chat is expected to remain calm and orderly, fights and spam may result in removal
from any and all MARS group chats. (12/19/15) (L2+)

5.3- Just be respectful. No offensive slurs or otherwise. Removal from league race, chats, or the
league itself may be a consequence. (L2+)

Teams:
6.1- Manufacturers will have an original team cap of 2 teams, can expand if necessary.

6.2- Teams will have a driver cap of 4 Full Time drivers. Part Time drivers do not count.

6.3- Teams will have currency to purchase drivers with. The higher a driver is in points, the
higher their value. The cap for what a team can spend is $100, and Full Time drivers range from
$45-$20. Team Owners do not count. (12/20/15)
6.4- If a Part Time driver owns a team, the first driver to join that team will be exempt from the
teams Salary Cap. (12/20/15)
6.5- Teams may select a full team to own as part of team identity. Teams cannot, however, own
more than they need. (12/20/15)
6.6- Team points are an average of all points the teams drivers have earned. (12/20/15)

Level 2 Offense - Probation of Any Length/One Race Suspension/3-10 Points Deduction
Level 3 Offense - 2-5 Race Suspension/10-25 Points Deduction
Level 4 Offense - 5+ Race Suspension/Season Suspension/Loss of Chase Eligibility/25-50 Points
Deduction
Level 5 Offense - Season Suspension/50-100 Points Deduction
Level 6 Offense - Banishment of Any Length
