YOUTHWORKS POOL SUPERVISION

AND CONSENT FORM

NON-SCHOOL GROUPS
The following applies to guest groups wishing to use the swimming pool for. Please read this
document carefully, sign the attached consent form and return to Youthworks staff prior to
using the pool.
Supervision Policy
Anglican Youthworks requires all guest groups to allocate two adult supervisors as water
watchers.
Duties of a Water Watcher:
Wear the water watcher vest at all times
Keep watch over the swimmers and remain out of the pool
Use the heightened seat where available
Know the location of all rescue equipment
Be the last person to leave the pool area
If the guest group cannot fulfil these requirements then the pool must not be used.
Code of Conduct
The following rules apply to all groups using the pool.
The pool is only open during daylight hours or when the pool is adequately lit at
night (all pools close at 9.00pm)
No diving or bombing is allowed in the pool.
No running on the pool surrounds.
Competitive underwater games involving holding breath are not allowed.
