LESSON PLAN

Lesson Topic: Oaxacan Inspired Creature Sculptures Grade: 11th

Date: 4/28/14

LESSON OBJECTIVE: (What do I want my students to know and be able to do?) (Cite State Standard)
ASWBAT observe and assess their peer groups progress of building Oaxacan-inspired creature sculptures
by recording compliments and constructive criticism (positive suggestions) on a written evaluation for each
group to read
INTRODUCTION: (What will I say to my students about what weve done before; what we know and want
to know?)
Inform students that they are mid-way finished with completing their sculpture projects. Even though all
the creatures are different and groups are showing different rates of progress, we as a class, are nearing
completion! Before students continue showing completion, the class will take the time to rotate, observe,
and provide positive feedback and encouragement to their peer groups.

and me before writing them down. I will assist
students with clarifying questions and guide
students to create positive suggestions.
