RECRUITMENT OF PROSPECTIVE SAAF STUDENT PILOTS AND NAVIGATORS
I am a 20 year old male writing to express my interest in the cadet recruitment for pilot
training in the South African Airforce, which I came to hear of through Ms
I obtained my private pilots license through the South African Civil Aviation Authority in
December 2010 and am currently undergoing IF-twin engine commercial pilot training at
Loutzavia Flight School, Wonderboom Airport in Pretoria. I have completed 206 hours of
flying thus far, of which 101 hours were as pilot-in-command. I have my night rating and
am busy with my instrument rating. I am keen to gain further experience in aviation in
South Africa, preferably through a military institution.
Aside from my qualification, I pride myself in keeping a professional attitude. I work well
in a team environment and am task-orientated. Although I am a foreign citizen, should I
be granted the opportunity to serve in the South African Airforce I would be prepared to
relinquish my Nepalese citizenship and would gladly accept South African citizenship.
