Our Lady of Unity Catholic

School

Dear Parents & Friends,

Catholic Schools Weeks is
soon approaching. This is a
great opportunity for all of us to
celebrate the many blessings
we receive through the gift of
Catholic education. The staff
have all been working hard to
make this a special day for your
children. We do not want this
to just be a week of trivial
activities, but instead, we have
planned to incorporate our faith
through activities related to the
Year of Mercy, the approaching
of Lent, vocations, service, and
Saints who have had an impact
on education. I encourage you
to talk with your children each
day and learn what they did to
celebrate their Catholic faith
and education. We will begin
the week with a retreat at
Blessed Sacrament on Monday
and end with an appreciation
Mass and reception for our
parents. Please check your
childs folder next Friday to
receive specific information and
plans for the week.
God Bless!
Nancy Butters

BLUE & GOLD TICKETS

If you have not picked up
your Blue and Gold tickets yet,
please do so as soon as
possible. We want to make
sure that you have plenty of
time to sell. Each family is
responsible for buying or
selling at least four tickets.

2016-2017 ENROLLMENT
Enrollment begins on Feb.
15. There will continue to be
several opportunities for
financial assistance. One way
is by recommending a family
to OLU. If that family enrolls
their child, we will pay one
month of your tuition. Early
Bird enrollment will continue
until April 1. Registration fees
will remain $85 per family if
paid in full by that date. After
April 1 the registration fee will
be $150 per family. Start
saving now so that you can get
that large savings by enrolling
early. Also, make sure that
any families you recommend
give us your name.

RELIGIOUS FREEDOM
RALLY
Feb. 17 from 12-1pm, the
Catholic Bishops of KS and
others concerned about the
future of religious freedom will
be hosting a Rally for
Religious Freedom inside the
Kansas State Capitol Building
under the dome. A large
turnout is needed to
demonstrate to Kansas
lawmakers that support for
religious freedom in Kansas is
strong. Lets make this as
successful as the rally in 2012,
which garnered national
attention and was broadcast
live on EWTN. We will have
outstanding speakers including
Ryan Anderson of the Heritage
Foundation. For more
information please visit
www.kscathconf.org.

FINANCIAL SUPPORT TO
THE PARISH
Many of you are concerned
about how to document your
financial support of the parish.
The easiest way is to register
at the parish, get envelopes,
and use them to tithe. This
way the parish will have
documentation through your
envelopes. If you cant do
that, write checks to put in the
basket instead of putting cash.
They are also able to track
your contributions that way.
Even if you only received
envelopes in December, start
using them. The parish
secretary can write you a
letter in March stating that you
financially support the church
even if it has just been recent.
