STATION 1: GEOMETRY HUNT

1. Take a paper with riddles. Solve each one. Then, create your own.
2. Walk around the room and find examples of each shape. Take a picture
with the ipad. If you cannot find an example you can draw an example and
take a picture **Try not to use the actual shape and instead find an object

STATION 2: SOLVING WORD PROBLEMS

1. Scan the QR codes and read each problem
2. Solve each problem on the answer sheet paper. Make sure to answer all
sections. Each question has 3 parts (key words, show your work to solve and
the answer)

Finish Early? Create your own word problems and solve. Then draw a
picture/scene of the problem.

Example: Sara bought 10 pieces of fruit at the store. 3/10 were bananas.
The rest were oranges. How many oranges did Sara buy?
= 10 total pieces. 3 are banana, so 7 are
oranges. 7/10 are oranges. Sara bought
7 oranges.

STATION 3: FRACTIONS PAPER SLIDE SHOW

1. Create a fraction paper slide show. You will need to have the following
concepts reviewed in your own way.
-What is a Numerator? What is a Denominator? What do they mean?
-An example of a picture model of a fraction
- What is an equivalent fraction? What are some examples?
-What are some ways we can compare fractions? Show examples.
-What do fractions on a number line look like? How can we tell where the fractions belong
on the number line? Where is the whole?
-Create and solve a word problem using fractions.
**Challenge: Show examples of fractions that are greater than a whole.

STEPS:
1. Plan! How will you cover all of the topics? Make an outline like this:
Slide 1: write down what you plan to cover on this slide
Slide 2: write down what you plan to cover on this slide
And continue until youre finished. You should have between 6-8 slides.
2. Create the slides. They need to be accurate, neat and nice to look at.
They should be easy to read and colorful.
3. Practice, practice, practice!! What will you say for each slide? You may
write yourself a script. Practice, practice, practice!

4. Have someone in your group record your slide show. You get ONE
recording!!!

STATION 4: GRAPHING FLIPAGRAM

1. You will create a flipagram video about graphs. You will google image
search

bar graph, pictograph, and line plot.

2. Take a screen shot of one of each that you like.

3. Upload those images into your flipagram app.
4. Record your flipagram by discussing the following parts of each graph:

key, axes, scales and titles

Finish Early? Create your own graph using the graph paper.
It can be any of the 3 types. Create and answer questions
about the graph.

1. You will design a playground using the provided information. Use unifix
cubes to create each part of the playground and lay it out on the ground
how you think it should look.

2. Then, you will draw the design on graph paper. Be sure that you draw the
correct area/perimeter for each item.
3. LABEL each piece of equipment.
4. Want more to your playground? Use your imagination and add ANYTHING
you want to the design where it will fit.
5. LABEL your new pieces AND WRITE THEIR AREA AND/OR PERIMETER.
6. Color your design.

STATION 5 AREA & PERIMETER PLAYGROUND

NAME: ______________
1. Your playground must have the following:
Swing set: 18 sq. ft.
Basketball court: 22 ft.
Seasaw: 6 ft.
Slide: 12 sq. ft.
Sandbox: 14 ft.
2. Use unifix cubes to create these designs making sure you pay attention
to feet versus square feet. Lay out your design.
3. Draw the design onto the graph paper. Label each item.
4. Add to your playground. Make sure to label new items and write their
area and/or perimeter.
