KEY
QUESTIONS

Warm up:
1. Suicides- Students line up along the base line
and run to and from each of the third lines on
the netball court. Speed and style of suicide can
be altered each time.
2. Stretching-Using the Sworkit Stretching App,
create a five-minute stretching workout for
students focusing on arm and leg stretches. If
students have a customised stretching routine
for injuries etc. they are also able to use this as
well.

Drills:
1. Partner attack/defense- Focusing on the
KTPs of attacking. Have students line up in two
lines (one attacking one defending), on a call
the players run forward to receive the ball from
the feeder with the attacker trying to make
leads and get the ball.
2. Attacking Square- Students make a square
with four cones. Students stand on a cone and
a ball is passed around the square whilst each
student makes a lead.

RESOURCES

Are students
placing their
opposite foot
to throwing
arm forward
when
passing?
Is the ball
moving flat
and fast to
their partner
in partner
passing?
Have the
students got
enough
agility for
attacking?

attacking leads to feed the circle.

Cool Down:
1. Running two laps of the netball court
2. Stretching Using the Sworkit Stretching App,
create a five-minute stretching workout for
students focusing on arm and leg stretches. If
students have a customised stretching routine
for injuries etc. they are also able to use this as
well.

Learner diversity: Students who are injured and

cannot run can help in the setting up for the
remaining drills. Ensure students who have not
played netball before are paired with students who
have prior knowledge.
