A Look Back
Writing is like technology, and that is it can be perfected through consistent trial and
error. Just like technology, writing is limitless and is only limited with your brain. Through
writing these essays, I knew I had something to improve upon. In my essays List in the Woods,
Dating is Hard, and Should We Raise the Wage I saw gradual improvements in Style,
Organization, and Documentation of Sources.
Technology isnt only useful for the things that it can do, but for how it looks on the
outside. Technology must fulfill two needs: Look great of the user and create a sense of style. I
believe I heavily improved on style in my descriptive essay Lost in the Woods. While writing
this essay, I felt the style of creating a sense of fear was easily obtained. Giving the trees
personification and creating a mind clouded with fear heavily emphasize a fear style
throughout the essay. As with consistent practice, it can be improved.
If something needs to be improved, it must be organized in a well manner. When
something new is created in the technology field, it is first organized in a sequential order. When
writing something new, it must be organized like when a new piece of technology is created. In
my process analysis essay Dating is Hard, I successfully display my improvement in
organization by showing how things are done in near-perfect order. This essay shows my
improvement in organization as everything is in near-perfect place and does not stray away from

the concept that I was trying to emphasize in the piece. Writing must be organized in a way that
technology is organized as.
One must document everything to show proof and a deeper understanding of the topic. In
my research paper Should We Raise the Wage I show improvement in the documentation of
sources. Compared to my causal analysis essay Correlation of Money, I horribly cite sources
by simply copying and pasting web addresses into the works cited page, yet in Should We Raise
the Wage, I successfully cite all the sources I used throughout the essay. In my research paper, I
have learned the correct way to cite sources that were used in the paper.
I personally can say that my writing has improved with consistent practice and trial-anderror. I saw many improvements throughout all my essays, and I cannot wait to see many more
improvements to come as I continue to write. It is clear that I improved in Style, Organization,
and Documentation of sources, as those were my weakest points in writing. As for every technerd, technology improvements are just around the corner.
