The circumstances to learn are good, both for the group and for individual
appointments
Employee 1 (B. )
Process
Before ENAIP
o The people have an intake conversation at the VDAB
- If the employers of the VDAB think that the clients are able to
work, they refer the clients to ENAIP
At ENAIP
o They get some training of the application
o The clients start with some group lessons (+/- 10 people a group )
total 40h group lessons
- Who am I, what can I do? , more self-knowledge
- They help with making application letters
- Make a CV
- How do I write a good letter or mail?
- Preparations for the application conversation
- What are their right and duties?
o After the group lessons, there are 4 weeks with individual lessons
this is once a week, with an appointment
- They will search personally with the client
- The student is assisted further on their personal needs
- What is their job target and what jobs are at the labour
market at that moment they search together
- Prepare the application
- Teach some application skills
o After the individual lessons the clients have to search for a job
independently
- A lot of work begins at that point for the client
- He has to sign up at some workplaces
- They have to learn it independently
- The student always can make new appointments with the
people from ENAIP by phone or mail after the four individual
lessons
- For example when they have some questions of some
application procedures
Protocol
They dont use a standard protocol
o They receive information of the clients, before they come to ENAIP,
from the VDAB
- At ENAIP they first read the info from all the clients
- Then they are making an overview about the level of the Dutch
language and how the lessons should look like
- They are changing the process to the capacities of the clients
o At ENAIP they dont use any tests or assessments
- In the middle of the groups lessons they evaluate the progress
o There is an optional follow up
Woman
She is a job counsellor
o She said you need some life experience a certificate isnt enough
- They dont assist only, there is also a life aspect
o She loves her job and said she receives a lot of satisfaction
Process
Group lessons
- They are giving workshops to the clients
- They are working in groups together
- For example they have to make a paper tower so
they have to collaborate
- These workshops can be an extra training of the Dutch
language, learning how to work with a computer, etc.
- The employees can estimate the competences of the students
+ strengthen the competences
Individual lessons
- The employees look at to the competences of the client
- They will look for some contacts with employers about a
vacancy + they will introduce the client to the employer
- They strengthen the competences of the clients
the women said that the employers have to be more
informed they must know more about people with a work
disability
If people are doing things without respect, the employees will discuss this
with them
The employees are looking at their own appearance
- For example the choice of clothes
Protocol
At ENAIP there isnt any protocol or manual they use during the process
o They have to feel it themselves
o They cant be too familiar
o During the process there isnt any test or assessment
- This is already done at the VDAB
This year 140 people start 8 weeks for each group
o They have success when the clients are able to search for
work independently and if they become more independent
Changes
Strengths/weaknesses
Strengths of the company: a good team with different backgrounds, takes the
time to help each person individually
Weaknesses of the company: the accommodation (too small and old), less
resources, the Dutch language level from the clients is too low.
