ENZYMATIC REMOVAL OF PEROXIDE TRACES

Hydrogen Peroxide is most suitable oxidizing agent of bleaching of natural fiberes.

Hydrogen Peroxide is commonly used in bleaching of cotton knitting, cotton yarn and cotton woven fabric.

Hydrogen Peroxide needs to be removed before dyeing since the traces of Hydrogen Peroxide can cause
problems in subsequent dyeing, such as unevenness of colour, insufficient dyeing, change of colour shade
between batches.

Enzymatic Peroxide Killer only reacts with peroxide, which does not exert unfavorable influence on dyeing.

The action of Enzyme on peroxide can explain as the enzyme decomposes two molecules of H 2O2 into two
molecules of water and one molecule of Oxygen.

One enzyme molecule is able to repeatedly decompose Hydrogen Peroxide one after the other.

2H2O -------------------------- 2H2O + O2

Zenzyme Peroxile 100

The treatment should be made at 30 to 400c at pH 6.5 to 7.5 for 20-30 min.

The reaction rate catalyzed by Zenzyme Peroxil 100, enzyme peroxide killer is extremely fast under
optimum conditions.

One molecule of such enzyme can decompose 400 millions of peroxide molecule in one minute.

Because of the typical property of enzyme as high substrate specificity, it decomposes only traces of
Hydrogen Peroxide without affecting any part of substrate.

Use of Enzymatic Peroxide killing improves dyeing quality with minimum water consumption. It saves
mainly time of steam consumption. It shortens the time, hence more production.

Enzymatic Peroxide Killer reduces the heavy dosage of harmful chemicals of affluent water in turn reduces
cost of effluent treatment.

Enzymatic Peroxide Killing also reduces side effect string chemicals used for removal of peroxide traces.
