Religion
Sacraments of Initiation: Children will relate their entry into community groups and the church through the sacraments of initiation.
Children will study various sacramental rituals and symbols and explore their meaning.
Lent - Reaching Out: Children will explore that Jesus touched others through his
relationships, actions, feelings, healing, lifestyle and word.
Easter Triduum - Journeying with Jesus: Children will recall that Jesus reached out
and touched others and others reached out and touched Jesus during his last
journey: The Way of the Cross.

English

Maths

Handwriting: Revision of foundation print and exits


Spelling: Magic e, ee, oo, th, ch
Grammar and Punctuation: Nouns, verbs, adverbs, connectives,
direct/indirect speech and quotation marks
Comprhension Skills: Main Idea, Fact and opinion and inferential
Types of Texts: Persuasive exposition, discussion

Homework

Resources

Next week your child will be arriving


home with a homework contract. This
contract has the homework for the entire
Term.

It would be appreciated if the


children could come to school
equipped with all necessary
resources. Not having resources
becomes a distraction to your childs
learning and to the learning of other
students. Please ensure all the above
items as well as hats, jumpers,
lunchboxes and drink bottles are
labelled clearly.

Homework will be given out on a Friday


and it will be due back the following
Thursday, homework can be completed
over the weekend.
Children should be aiming to do
approximately 20 minutes of homework
and a minimum of 15 minutes of reading
each night.

Whole School Mass first Friday of each


month, 9:00 am
Sport uniforms are to be worn on Monday
and Thursday
Italian - Thursday
Music - Thursday
Computers Thursday
Library - Thursday

NAPLAN
NAPLAN will take place early
Term 2. More information to follow.
