Global M2D control service delivery manager

Location: Bangalore

Unilever Enterprise Support (ES) is a new global business unit that will manage the companys
shared business services, made up of HR Services, Finance Transactions, IT services,
Information Management Services and Workplace Services.

requirements

Lower cost of delivery through standardisation, simplification, process harmonisation &


scale leverage.

Better user experience by delivery of integrated service bundles to end-user.

Continuous improvement through end-to-end process ownership.

Within the service catalogue of ES, Finance Services organisation is responsible for the
management and delivery of Finance Services globally, both through third-party outsourced
providers (e.g. IBM, CapGemini) and through in-sourced operations.
Unilever has undertaken the Effective Financial Control and Reporting (EFCR) project with an
agenda to reduce the cost of control by 50 mln (50% reduction). The agenda in controls is called
Zero Based Controls (ZBC) is now called as Global Controls Framework. As part of the ZBC
project, a global governance model supporting the Unilever standards for access and financial
process controls is being designed and having a common approach for managing user access to
financial systems.
The agenda on controls will involve creation of a new service line under Enterprise Services called
Controls Services Center (CSC), located in Bangalore. The new service line will have 3 key
services 1) Access Control 2) Monitoring & Reporting 3) Sox and ITGC.

This role is part of the Monitoring & Reporting service. The person will be the global lead for the
Make to Deliver process control in Unilever and will be a subject matter expert. The role will
require working with internal monitoring & reporting control counterparts and stakeholders in
different parts of Unilever as well as extensive working with service provider. Some of the key
aspects of the role are:

Global UL lead for M2D process controls and key point of contact for global M2D
process and country M2D teams on controls

Partner with the solutions development team for implementing global M2D process
control agenda

Define and lead the agenda on M2D controls and create necessary forums with global
process teams, country teams and 3P service provider

Main Accountabilities

Establish global governance around the M2D controls following a defined model with
representation of relevant stakeholders from IT, Process Excellence, Operations, Service
Providers and the business
Establish a set of regular SLA reporting, end to end service metrics and performance
reporting; includes analysis and root cause analysis
Identify and implement continuous improvement actions in the area of record to report,
Purchase to Pay, Order to Cash and Make to Deliver controls through use of data
analytics and other monitoring and reporting techniques
Partner solutions team on implementation of M2D process controls through SAP GRC
Review and report on the accuracy, timeliness and relevance of the controls performance
and other information that is provided to CSC stakeholders
Co-ordinating external assurance activities relating to M2D process controls assessment
including Corporate Audit, External Audit and SOX assessment
Work closely with service providers to establish process control capabilities and identify
and exploit continuous improvement opportunities

preferred - CA/CPA/MBA Finance or
similar qualification
Strong operational experience in a supply
chain, factory or a sourcing unit finance
role
5+ years working experience from the
manufacturing sector eg )consumer
goods/durables/pharma/automobiles
Exposure to working on SAP all four
process modules PTP, RTR, MTD and
OTC hands on working experience is
preferred
Experience as an auditor from a large audit
firm PwC, KPMG, E&Y etc would be a
plus
Service provider and stake holder
