Lis Marking Policy

Here are some following rules as to how I will be marking your assignments:

Assignments will be collected during the beginning of each class on the day it is

due. I will be collecting your assignments during reading time.

If the assignment is to be completed in your journals, it is due at the end of the

period before you leave class.

Late assignments will lose 5% for each class (not day) that it is late.
Incomplete assignments will immediately lose 10% in addition to it being late.
Forgetting to write your name will result in your assignment being marked as late.
If you are absent on a day a homework assignment has been assigned, it is up to
you to ask me what the homework material is during recess or lunch. The

homework assignment will then be due the next class.

If the assignment is due at a later time (not next class), it will be due on that day.
For example, if you are absent on Monday and a homework assignment been
assigned and is due Friday. It will not be due the next day after you ask me what

the homework assignment is. It will be due Friday with everyone else.
If you are absent on a day a homework assignment is due, it is up to you to hand it

in as soon as possible.
The mark deductions will be equal for all assignments, no matter how much each

individual assignment is worth.

If you receive a sticker instead of a grade that means the assignment is marked out
of 1 and you have received full marks.
