Tottenham vs. Leicester City

1/5/16
The number 2 and number 4 teams from the Premiere League
will meet on Wednesday January 13th, which will for sure be a battle.
Number 2, Leicester City has 40 points, which is 2 points behind
number 1, Arsenal. Tottenham currently has 36 points in 4th place.
Their last meeting, was 3 days ago on January 10th for the 3rd round in
the FA Cup. It ended in a draw, 2-2. In their last 17 meetings,
Tottenham has won 10 of those 17, and Leicester has only one 5,
leaving 2 draws.
Tottenham goalkeeper, Hugo Lloris, believes his team lacks the
maturity of their competitors. He specifically said, You need
experience. You cant buy it. You need to play games, you need to lose,
you need to win. Tottenham has lost twice so far this season, which
has given them the best defensive record in the division, with only 16
goals conceded in 20 matches. It will be interesting to see if Lloriss
prediction will come true against Leicester who is winning over them
by 4 points.
Players to watch for Tottenham are Harry Kane, Danny Rose,
Christian Erikson, Erik Lamela, and Dele Alli. Harry Kane had an
outstanding season last year. He is their leading scorer with 13 goals.
Danny Rose, one of their outside backs, uses his speed to join in on key
plays. Christian Erikson and Erik Lamela are key midfielders for the
team. The young Dele Alli, who is only 19 years old, is a rising talent to
watch out for and who has just signed on until 2021.
Leicester City recently signed striker Demarai Gray from
Birmingham City. He is considered one of the best young talents in the
country. Leicester Citys current star striker, Jamie Vardy, suffered a
groin injury and will be undergoing minor surgery, so he could possibly
be out of this game versus Tottenham. This could hurt Leicester City
because Vardy is their leading scorer with 15 goals. Other top scorers
and players to look out for from Leicester City are Riyad Mahrez with
14 goals and Joseph DoDoo with 4 goals.
In one of Leicesters previous matches against Bournemouth,
they blew their chance to step up their standing because Riyad
Mahrezs penalty shot was saved against 10-man Bournemouth. It
ended 0-0. Leicester played a 4-4-2, so look out for this possible
formation against Tottenham on the 13th.
Tottenhams last match was against Everton and ended in a
draw, 1-1. They played a 4-2-3-1. This could be a possible formation
option against Leicester.

Considering their 2-2 draw on the 10th and their history, this game
should be an aggressive and close match. Leicester and Tottenham will
both come out on the pitch fighting to both have a chance of taking
first in the league.
