INDICATOR: F: Classroom Management Indicator: Employs a variety of
classroom management strategies, and establishes and maintains effective
routines and procedures that promote positive student behavior.
EVIDENCE: (two)
1. Lesson Plan #2 (February 12th 2016) (Agawam High School. Table Tennis)
The teacher has detail of very effective classroom management strategies
that promote a positive learning environment for the most effective
behavior possible.

2. Observation #1 (February 19th 2016) (Observer: Dr.Mangano)


This piece of evidence shows the teacher getting evaluated by
Dr.Mangano, and is recorded that the teacher hits on the management,
strategies, and positive classroom behavior which are all elements on
Indictor F.

DISCUSSION: (justify how each piece of evidence supported the standard)


1. This evidence support the management style of the teacher by explaining the

safety considerations and a student/teacher demonstration so that the students can


successfully understand the content being taught by the teacher. This creates a
positive learning environment so that no student is hurt, and confusion doesnt
occur throughout the lesson or activity.

2. This observation shows the teacher had received a high score on the
management part of the observation sheet. The teacher received 3s on
appropriate use and projection of the whistle, maximize use of space and
equipment to provide OTRs. The teacher also received high marks on safety issues
identified, progress assessed formally and informally. All crucial elements to meet
the Indicator F criteria on Standard 2 of the Massachusetts Professional Standards
for Teachers Matrix.
