Event Spotlight: Splash! Kiddie Pool

Wow, we are already one month into 2016! Time flies by so quickly. This
time of year we spend a lot more time inside, but we try and get outside
when the weather allows. We were able to take our kids up to the snow
for their first time sledding a few weeks ago. They loved it. Whenever it's
not raining we still try and get to a park and outside to play, even if it's
just for half an hour. The fresh air is so nice.

This month we went to Splash! for their kiddie pool swim time. The kids
had a great time in the warm pool and the Moms had fun catching up.
This is a great indoor activity during the winter months to get the kids
out of the house. It was so much fun that Emily is hosting a kiddie pool
swim time on February 8th. It is $4.50/kid. Moms are free and Moms can
either go in the pool, stand in the pool, or stand and sit outside of the
pool, whichever works best for your kids. The weather was warm and
sunny that day, so after the pool, several of us headed to the park
behind Splash!.

February brings Valentine's Day. I love making valentines with the kids to
show friends and loved ones how important they are to us. We've got a
couple of cute Valentine themed projects in this newsletter and we will
have a Valentine's Day activity at the Member Social. We will be making
valentines to take to the residents of Sheldon Park Assisted Living.
This month MOMS Club of Eugene has so many fun events planned!
The Eugene Piano Academy will be out our Member Social on February
11th. She is going to lead the kids in songs and dancing. We've also got
some needed jumping time at Get Air on the 2nd, craft time at Old
School, baby wearing demo, Mommy and kiddo exercise time, and a Fire
Station tour! Dorris Ranch and Splash! had such great turnouts last
month, that we are doing both activities again this month. Check
Facebook for the invites to all our activities.
Lots of great events happening and we hope to see you there!

Moment on Mom Spotlight:Jasmine Eacret

Our February Moment on a Mom Spotlight is Jasmine Eacret! She has two
little boys, Seth andVincent. Jasmine grew up in Lake Tahoe, California;
Tahoma to be exact. She fell in love withher mom'sbest friend's
eldestson. After 7 years together, Jasmine found out she was pregnant
with Seth. So they bought rental properties in Oregon and moved to
Eugene. Jasmine'sfavorite thing about Eugene is the diversity of city and
nature.
With a simple stamp pad or a little paint you can easily make adorable
keepsake thumbprint hearts. Stamp them onto paper to make Valentine
cards or cute bookmark gifts, adding a ribbon at the end. With a marker
you can turn the heart into a balloon! Another creative option is to
stamp onto rocks you collect with your kiddo and use them as
paperweights and gifts.

Before she was a mom, Jasmine worked many retail jobs and had an
active social life but mainly cleaned vacation rentals for her mom.
Jasmine loves to go on hikes, go to the ocean, and eat in quality
restaurants. She enjoyscooking and baking, but she's a hard critic.
Jasmine's favorite mommytime activity is being withher best friends,
whether it's going to a movie, or a bar, or staying home together.

Club Highlights from January

Walking at Dorris Ranch was a hit!

Jasmine loves Netflix and goes through seasons like crazy. She loves the
U.K.'s Shameless,Bob's Burgers, and Orange is the New Black.Her
favorite movie is a close call between A Long Kiss Goodnight, The Fifth
Element, and PulpFiction.
Jasmine's favorite book is "Crank" by Ellen Hopkins but her favorite series
is "Uglies" by ScottWesterfeld. She likes Young Adult books best.
If Jasmine could go anywhere she would like to go to Tokyo and check
out all the craziness.She loves being a mom because it's the most
rewarding thing she's ever done; school and worknever did it for her.
Jasmine joined MOMS Club in September of 2015. She likes MOMS Club
because her kidsand herself both get to socialize with other kids and
moms.

Helping Hands Program

Part of the support we have in MOMS Club of Eugene is helping each
other during times of family additions, upheaval, andstress. This is not
just limited to having a baby, things like moving or illness in the family
also warrant a need for this program. Our Helping Hands program
provides moms with assistance, usually givingseveral meals in a time of
need. However, this program can provide more than just meals. We
can arrange assistance with childcare, running errands, even a phone
tree! We want all of our members tobenefit from this program in a time
of need and we are more than willing to customize an
assistanceschedule that works well for each situation. Please let us know
if a circumstance should arise in your life and you feel this program

Amber Zekic gave birth to Coen Harisson Zekic on January 28th! He

weighed 10 pounds 6.4 ounces and 20.5 inches long. Congratulations to
